I know we’ve had bigger wins over them but that was the easiest for me. An absolute stroll. Was like playing Dundee

Sunday morning, up with the lark...

It's far too exciting to be sleeping, just gonna keep going through the threads reading all you lot's wonderful posts. Hopefully get a full re-run on sky at some point to watch it again properly. Can never tune right in when watching it in the pub.

That goal from Jota, * me it was absolutely stunning. And wee Abada, hunskelper supreme, does it once again. Cannot speak highly enough of that young man. Phenomenal performance from the whole team.

    Incredible times man :100:

    Watching the highlights again.

Goldson is a 100% a red card. Var would've sent him off.

Kent's challenge on Abada is 100% a penalty. Var would've given it.

On the face of it, this should've been at least 6-1. Colak header being identical to GG's miss.

With better decision making we could've scored more. Jota took a tight angled shot that he should've passed. Juranovic took a long range shot when there was better options available etc.

    I was thinking the same.

I know we started horrendously last season and clawed it back. Listening to Jota after the game, the players know this can happen and won't let it go to their heads. That's huge. That's a worry for the huns that this result won't make us take the foot off the gas.

They won the first derby last season 1-0. If we ignore that this is a completely different Celtic team, but just look at the game itself. They were lucky to win that game. Edouard missed an absolute sitter. And Kyogo squared it to Christie when he should've taken a shot. A draw would've been fairer.

February derby was lucky to be 3-0.

Ibrox Derby was tighter but we were the better team with the better opportunities and a win for us was a fair result.

Last derby we should been out of sight by half time and then we let them back into the game in the second half. Draw was probably fair but we should've gone in at half time 3-0 up easily making it impossible to come back from.

I said before the game that if we won the game, we'd win the league by double digits. I can't see Ange or the team allowing any of this to go to their head, especially after last year's experience. We're still to see Haksabanovic and Abildgaard. Ooft. Tough times ahead for the huns.

Was at a formal dinner last night but was getting regular texts from my mate. Rather disturbed the atmos with an unseemly "* yeah!" when the first went in.

Spent an enjoyable morning tasting hun tears and watching replays. That goal of Jota's was a thing of absolute beauty off a peach of a pass.

Jota will make the club 30mill if/when he leaves, but Ange will replace him with someone both cheaper and better.

We'll struggle to replace Jota with half the quality.

The bhoy is on another level in all aspects of his game.

With today's market, I'd be looking for the other side of £40m. Easily.

We’d genuinely be mental to accept any less than £40m for him. 5 year deal and he’s only what 23?

    A 5 year deal.

    A FIVE YEAR DEAL.

    Unthinkable.

The guy clearly loves it here and we love him.

The connection must be so strong. Going out on loan year after year and not getting anywhere with the club you love. It must feel so good to find a home that loves you.

    * cutting around on holiday wearing his work clothes.

He loves it and we love him.

Genuinely my favourite player since Larsson.

I think he's certainly the best player since Larsson (with the possible exception of VVD), and I absolutely love watching him play.

But I think he'd need to stay another couple of years to approach my favourite levels - modern football being what it is and player loyalty so tested by obscene amounts of cash.

How on Earth did Benfica let him go? (It was Benfica, wasn't it?) Amazing player.

Agree with everything here. Easily my favourite player since the MON days, and in my opinion easily the most talented. Not only that but the guy has literally everything else: desire, personality, gets and adores the culture. He's also physically dominant and doesn't shirk from the hammer throwers. He will be our record transfer and at one of the top EPL/La Liga sides before his career is over, no doubt about it.

Huns saying aw week 9-0 and the 5-0 mean nowt as we still hadn’t played a decent proper team yet, after yesterday I’d have to still agree with them

Yep. Take the last 5 minutes out the equation when the game was long gone, and they've only created one chance all game with colaks header. The gulf is huge.

We 100% had Madrid in mind in the 2nd half or it would have been 6 or 7.

Agree with all of this, there was one Hatate took a shot on where GG had peeled free in the box to be slipped in.

Do you know the most encouraging thing for me about yesterday was, there is more to come from that team. That was meant to be our big test and I don’t think we had to do much better than a 7.5/10 performance for the team to skelp them and limit them to few chances.

That is not meaning to be critical of the team, in fact the opposite, it is meant as a compliment that I know there is even more in there.

It has been some start to the league 6 wins at more than 4 goals a game and only to have conceded 1. Completely changed team goes away in the league cup to one of the tougher venues in the league and wins 4-1.

A big 2 weeks now to finish of this run of games before the international break. Two league wins and take something from the Shakhtar game and it will have been some start. Anything on Tuesday will be a bonus.
