FIFA just got bigger and better with Celtic

Celtic Football Club has today announced a partnership with Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA), creator of the EA SPORTS™ FIFA 23 computer game series, in a fantastic deal for the club.

Through the new four-year partnership, EA SPORTS will become the exclusive Official Video Game Partner of the Scottish Premiership Champions.

The exciting new partnership will see the club and EA SPORTS working closely to create fan forward content together in the future.

Celtic’s Commercial Director, Adrian Filby said: “We are delighted to announce this fantastic long-term partnership with EA SPORTS, the leading organisation in its field.

“Celtic’s reach is truly global, and we are pleased to be partnering with an organisation of such profile and quality, known globally as a true market leader.

“We know that thousands of our fans have a great affinity with EA Sports and FIFA 23 already.

“We are sure this new partnership will be hugely beneficial for the club and our supporters.”

Earlier in July, Electronic Arts released details onEA SPORTS FIFA 23, available worldwide on September 30, which will feature updates to its ground-breaking next-gen HyperMotion2 gameplay technology that elevates every moment on the pitch and much more.

With 300 individual licensed partners, giving players access to more than 19,000 athletes across 700 teams, in 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues around the world, FIFA 23 is the place to play in iconic competitions such as UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, brand new UEFA Europa Conference League, Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga Santander, CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL.

 

Well overdue that.

Will make it much more enjoyable to create a Celtic past and present in FUT, with the stadium, chants and real player faces.

Shame after fifa23 though the game gonna go completely off the cliff with the separation from EA and Fifa

It doesn't actually say Celtic park will be in it though does it ?

 

Actually quite gutted at this news in a way, I've had every fifa since fifa world cup 2002 on the gamecube and I was determined not to get this years edition in any form but this is literally what I've been waiting for, for about 20 years...

 

Doubt we'd sign up to this and deny them putting the stadium in-game, we will probably see more content as we get closer to release date like the players being scanned etc

 

Think most teams who are official partners get their stadium in Juve being a prime example this year it'll probably get added in an update

 

Has Celtic Park ever been in Fifa and will it be in Fifa 23?

 

First time ever.

 

Honestly think them losing the FIFA license will benefit them. It’ll give them a lot of freedom, they will still have the licenses of the teams and players etc.

 

Also Celtic Park, full team facescans and more cards in Ultimate Team hopefully.

 

Adding us and the huns, along with a couple other twitter announcement (I think?) it looks like they are actually setting up for life after Fifa. Very much feels like they are snapping up individual club license at this time, in prep for not having the general fifa license that would cover a lot of clubs.

 

I’m confused , I used to play fifa when I was younger and was always able to play as Celtic?

 

Celtic park wasn’t in the game.

 

Oh ok so just the stadium is being added ? Hope the make the players look more like them too
