Everything is ok for Christopher Jullien in Montpellier. The former Toulousain successfully passed his medical examination this morning.

    Good news..

Gave us some big moment's and was a good player but.......injury prone, slow, doesn't suit our new system, one of our higest earners, bit of an attitude towards the end..

Is it a permanent or just a loan?

Pretty sure his deal expires end of the season anyway so doesn’t really matter - other than we may still be contributing a percentage to his wage if it’s a loan.

Wish him all the best regardless.

Perfect. Off the wage bill clearly with a contract like that..

With a bit of luck hopefully we got some sort of fee, although I was starting to think he'd sit tight.....so no overly fussed..

Getting the wage off the books is the main thing but any type of transfer fee as well is a great bonus.

Getting Ajeti off the books permanently in hopefully a similar deal and then just letting McCarthy go for free would likely net us a saving of around £6mill with wages and small transfer fees combined.

    Would be amazing.

Apparently has multiple offers on the table and McCarthy also expected to be gone. Imagine :48:

A fee also suggests that we aren’t paying any of his wages, so it’s a clean break, which is terrific news financially.

Christoper Jullien has sealed his exit from Celtic after penning a three-year deal with Montpellier, ending his stay at Parkhead. The defender moved to Glasgow under Neil Lennon in a £7million move from Toulouse and helped the club to a Treble in his first season, scoring the winning goal in the Betfred Cup Final.

But the 29-year-old suffered an horrendous injury in his second campaign which wrecked his season and has fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou despite returning to fitness. Jullien has been free to move on from Celtic and failed a medical at Schalke earlier this summer but has now found himself a new club with a return to France after finalising an agreement with Olivier Dall’Oglio’s Ligue 1 side.

Jullien played under the Montpellier boss earlier in his career at Dijon and L’Equipe report a deal has now been agreed after a stringent medical, stating the French side have paid £850,000 to buy out the final year of his Parkhead deal.
