Think if he was younger there would be more people for this . Was a stand out for Huddersfield few year ago , don’t think fitness will be an issue , probably a replacement for rogic

All I’m saying is, he better not get a * 4 year deal like McCarthy.

In all honesty I’m not sure about this one, but it could prove a shrewd bit of business as he is a free.

As long as we don’t offer him a long contract 2 year max then time will only tell.

Am I disappointed? Aye I would have liked us to sign someone else younger and fits the physical side better but here we are.

    Lets hope it pays off.

Why would it be national pride rather than enthusiasm from people who've actually watched his career?

He will definitely improve the first 11(ish).

If it was national pride we'd be wanting Anthony Albanese or Cam Smith for Celtic.

I had a similar feeling when we signed Hart, although anything was better than what we had. The feeling was that could we have down better?

I hope I'm just as wrong.

Decent player in England. Is he the same now? Ange doesn't sign bad players.

For free as a backup why not, probably better than Gucci mane or McCarthy. Not a priority though and a little worrying we're falling back on guys like this : /

I'm on record saying in June 2021:

I'll definitely be delighted to see Mooy don the hoops.

Looks like a year with a possibility of another..

But it does definitely feel a bit Meh..

However, got to trust Ange he's earned that leeway could be a nugget.

Because it's Ange and he never gives anything away.

No news on injuries or transfers. Normally that'd annoy the * out of me but I'm delighted as the club play their cards close to their chest and opposition teams have no idea what's happening.

Doesn't excite me but would give us experience in the middle of the park and sounds like he can control a game, which we lacked against the huns a few times last season. Hopefully surprises us.

We're back to jumping in with both feet and assuming the manager doesn't know what he's doing I see :56:

Looking forward to this one, huge amounts of mental gymnastics ahead this season when the boy Mooy does the business, and some folks' overreacting is explained away as if it never happened.

Got to love Internet experts :giggle1:

I'm not one to judge on age since lubo. If he's qaulity, so be it. Bitton replaced.

:56: You lads lost(but by default won) the first war. Don’t make the same mistake twice :giggle1:

    This thread is killer :giggle1:

PS. If you ask Australian fans who is the better footballer out of Rogic and Mooy, I’d say 80+% would say Mooy. I love Rogic and there’s not many footballers in the world that can do what he does, but Mooy is a master, he’s your thinking footballer and if he was faster, he’d have played top 6 in the PL.

I’ve seen Mooy boss Kante and Pogba at international level.

I was there in the fourth row. Absolutely monstrous performance by Mooy, and as I posted earlier in the thread he was the BBC's MOTM.

If he gets himself fit and back to near his best he will be a brilliant signing. Let's wait and see he could be this year's Joe Hart. He will offer us a combative style in the midfield which we have badly lacked. McGregor, Mooy, O'Riley sounds a good midfield to me

I won't dig up an old post again, but I did say in the 2021 pre-season that I wouldn't be surprised to see Rogic go and Mooy come in. It didn't happen last season considering how chaotic it was and Rogic was already in the building and Ange knew what he would get with him. But now with this pre-season Rogic is out and Mooy is in.

To back your point, I'm definitely in that 80% bracket of Mooy > Rogic.
