Why a supporter of any club would buy fakes or knockoffs just completely baffles me, if I couldn't afford the real top from the club store I wouldn't be bothering.

Maybe the clubs shouldn't charge £65 for a shirt or £50 a kids shirt that goes out of date within 12 months.

    Well that's probably because you're a *.

In a day in age when folk can hardly afford heating, no one should be accosted for spending maybe £10 less getting the new top from another seller.

Maybe try questioning Celtic themselves why a new top has to come out every season and costs like £60+ when it only costs about $5 to make...

It’s a luxury item and a percentage goes back into the club. Nobody is complaining about the extra revenue the club gets.

I wouldn’t buy a fake myself, I’d save for the real thing if I wanted one. I just dont see the point either. If I can afford it I’ll get it, if I can’t I won’t. Same with any knock off gear, I don’t understand people that buy it.

Its not Celtic you have to speak to, its Adidas.

I use them for 5s so I'd rather pay the 15/20 for the fake than 65/70

It’s no a “luxury” item if…say…you’ve 3 weans who’re greetin the face aff ye for the new kit, for reasons that don’t need explaining.

£65 for just the shirt might no seem a lot for folk like you, but when a full kit at, I think, approx £80+ x 3 (again, for example), you can understand why folk will go to the likes of JD, or perhaps even a knock off to save some much needed money.

And, do Adidas just tell Celtic what to
Do, or do you not think they’re working in collaboration with each other then???

You’re mental if you genuinely don’t think a football top is a luxury item. No matter the circumstance.

£65 is a * load of money for a piece of clothing. That’s exactly what makes it a luxury. Dont try and make out I’m saying “just buy the real thing”, because thats not what I said.

    I said I wouldn’t if I couldn’t. I get weans are different.

Adidas set the prices. There’s no doubt in my mind about that. Its the same price in JD, who also work with Adidas.

Oh * off you self righteous bully, thought you had * off as I've no seen yer * on the boards for a while.

Not my problem if you can't afford this or that, I'm in the same boat. But in saying that I don't see the point of paying for some Chinese sweatshop trash for 30 quid rather than just wait a few weeks and save for the real thing and give back to the club you support.

Also @Mr. Slippyfist in a time where folk are struggling like you say, I would hardly think a new football top would be on the height of anyones shopping list. 1st World problems I guess.

I think that everyone should buy fakes, and I can guarantee you that the price will be cut to next season if ppl do that.

Disgusting charging 60 for a * shirt that cost like a pack of rice to make.

I get x% goes back to the club, I used that to justify buying the shirts previously but the reality is that they are not value for money. I will buy official training gear, I think that ages far better and far better value for money.

The shirts are made in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Notorious for slave labouring and dumping toxic waste water in the rivers.

I would guess that a shirt cost around 2-3£ to make.

I would guess less than that. Maybe using recycled materials has upped cost but none of these brands use ethical labour.

60 quid for a nice design and half decent quality is a great price but it depends what you compare it to…for instance 200 odd quid for a plain white cotton t shirt that says Gucci balmain or whatever on it

Money going back into the club is definitely not a justifiable reason to spend £65 on a top, its just a better reason to save and buy the real thing rather than line the pockets of some random * for a fake.

Nobody is obliged to buy any merch, it doesn’t make you any more or less of a fan.
