give the guy a chance mate.

He was our top scorer last season.

    His goals will come.

His touch doesn't seem to be there, neither does his sharpness (as of yet).

You have to wonder what the * preseason is for.

He needs a goal and then he'll be back to his best in an instant.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon

Agree 100% - don't think he'll outscore Venegoor this season, but no way a one-season wonder. Shall score on Sunday.

Agree with both of you but I think he'll outscore Venegoor. Venegoor is often "target-manned" by us leaving his only option sometimes to set up McDonald which is no bad thing..

Rather than focus on scotty, the question should really be, whose creating chances?
mcdonald is a goal scorer in the same vain as linker, rush and even muller.... Those guys could sniff out any chance in the box - but they rellied on other players to create those chances.when did we get the ball in the box (and on the deck) at all during yesterdays game?

i wernt on the wind up
    naylor is * nuff said

people keep saying no service no goals
i think thats an unfair thing to say
how kan ther be service when anytime the ball was rolled into his feet and he was asked to hold it up and bring someone else into play he kept losin the ball with his ridikulous first touches
a striker isnt there only to put the ball in the net he needed to hold the ball up the ball needed to stik up top and it didnt bekos skippy kept losing it and it kept breaking down

i know he wernt the only one but he was poor and looks unfit dont forget he didnt skore alot of goals in the later part last season either

skippy is a great finisher and should be allowed to finish he doesnt suit the role he has to play with his bak to goal

we need a lightning quik striker at the park to get a better balance and add another option to our attak

Nah, he'll come good again I think. He's probably having a crisis of confidence after the dizzy heights he reached last season and may be worried whether or not he'll be able to do the same again this time around for us.

He'll definitely calm down, hopefully soon, and start doing what comes natural, scoring goals. :50:

Also he didn't play in the last 2 or 3 pre season games, so he will of needed to get back into the swing of things quicker than those who did.

People don't seem to recognise the fact that McDonald played football throughout the summer for Australia's national team in World Cup qualifiers.
