2 ROUND OR CL

I wrote something on this subject after Rangers got to the UEFA cup final that was probably my best ever post, it was a shame it was at 3am and hardly anyone ever read it!

Main points:

-Do you hear Hearts/Aberdeen fans saying, "we should get relegated to the first division because we'd definitely be in with a great chance of winning that league"?
-If you want to be thought of as a big club then you have to be in CL. The big clubs, if they are put into the UEFA don't give a toss about it, hence the fact that no really big club has won it in ages.
-You probably get as much money (including gate receipts) in playing 2 games in the last 16 as you would from playing 6-8 in the UEFA.
-In practical terms it means your players are less knackered for the domestic league.
-As Jock Stein said about the Celtic shirt not shrinking to fit inferior players, our ambitions should not shrink to match the size of our pockets. I'd rather be lying in the gutter looking at the stars than, er, standing on top of an underground mountain looking down.

i would pick champs league hands down , you get much more recognition and celtic as a club need this to atraact bigger names

 

also in uefa cup there are good team like ac milan or others.....it's not easy....but CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IS THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE....nothing else is like that cup....remember the 2004 winnerORTO....2007:MILAN(im italian and support this team)
these are only two cases of what can happen when u play against the biggest european teams....also when u face an hun,u can always ask why his team is gonna play on thursay nigth...eheheheh

but i would love celtic to win the uefa cup so it could sit nicely next to our european cup. it would be so good knowing that our team have won the 2 bigest european trophys

The CL we need to keep progressing in it in the uefa cup we are going backwards.

 

Champions league, i know we would go out at the last 16, but the atmosphere it creates is electric, the money and attention we get is phenomenal.

 

Champions League all the way... and I also think it's bullshit that getting to the Final of UEFA gets you twice as many seed points as the last16 of CL.

 

uefa cup for me,, seville sent shivers down me and made me feel proud as i have ever felt it was a great run and i remember celebrating larssons left chip against boavista ,aka, rangers in disguise,,, what a feeling it was getting 2 that final!! so i would choose uefa run,, cl is the beter competition for sure but another seville is something that only maybe happens once in my lifetime

 

im not thinking 3rd or 4th ,,gotta go for 1st 2nd and if thats not panning out then thinkabout the next move
