ZURAWSKI SENDS POLAND TOO WORLD-CUP GERMANY 2006

Poland has booked there place in next year world-cup in germany zurawski coolly blasted the ball straight down the middle too ensure poland make the world cup no matter what happen's with england,they suffered at winsor park tonite all i can say is nae * luck eh bhoys,that's what happen's when all the engish press think that england turn up+win all the time no it doesn't happen anymore i was watching the game on bbc1 gary lineker+Ian wright were going on about this is a shock 4 english football ffs wake up that's what they get when all there heads are up each others *.now w ith poland through i hope they give zurawski a rest now he played 90mins in poland+showed great touches aswell,Boruc never had much 2 good luck poland

 

Looks like england are on a downward spiral. Looks like a clash of all the big "superstars" to me, I knew that it would happen eventually but didn't expect it to happen so fast.

 

Its strange . Here in Poland we are not celebrating, becouse we are not sure that we are going to Germany. Our football speces calculated point in all groups , and they are talking that Poland is not in Germany yet.

 

Had to laugh at Beckham tonight saying England will top the group if they can win their remaining 2 games, the fact is Poland are 5 points clear with only 2 games left. Poland would have to lose twice * no chance, I think he's been buzzing Posh Spice's pants too much he's starting to trip. * * so he is lol.

 

Because of damned Ibrahimovic, we cannot be sure of our place in WC yet. There is still a chance that Czech Republic and Sweden/Croatia will be better than our NT. Good thing is that those teams have difficult next matches to play. Czech Rep. will play against Netherlands and Finland (4-3 home win for CR in first leg). Another good news is a fact that Croatia will play against Sweden. Then Sweden will pay against Iceland and Croatia vs Hungary, so there is a real chance for each team to loose many points
And last but not least - Austria can beat England somehow. Then we could even loose against * and still take 1st place in our group.

 

We have only 1 match to play, while England got 2.

 

To me all the polish ppl should be proud off there teams work during this campain they will probs.draw or even win against the english easy use are there so here's hoping the scots make it too,just think poland+scotland in the same group over in germany-2006-nice summer with zurawski+boruc with there treble medals what a high they would be on (got too hope for the scots)

Zuraw's injury was either a ploy or a true miracle has happened he played the entire game and ran his wee legs off too, never a sign of him being unfit. And it was the *other* striker that got subbed near the end.

He should be perfectly fit for Aberdeen, if a little bit tired. Perhaps GS will start him on the bench though.

As to Poles being proud of Poland NT, we are. 8 wins in 9 games is a great record by any team's standards. And it's a shame that we can't be sure of qualification yet, but we're very close and even if other results don't help us (which is unlikely, very little is needed - Czechs or Swedes dropping a single point in the remaing games, or England not beating Austria) we'll still have the chance to clinch it at Old Trafford in October, where a draw will suffice.

 

Just hope the thigh strain he picked up in training must have been minor(thank-*),tonite against the welsh i thought zurawski looked hungray for goals with his touch+movement were good needs to practice more on his shooting cause i think he has got a great right-foot shot+can be good at free-kicks as he's done a few times for poland

The starting line-up was announced about 40 mins before the game... I had the feeling he'd play, but earlier on it was only a guess, most people here thought he wouldn't be playing.

I think England will secure the 1st place and make it to the World Cup anyway. There's no way they could lose at home to the Aussies and then comes our game... Honestly, I would be much more confident about getting a point from this game if it was against France, Spain or Italy - they're all World Class of course, but we're in good shape at the moment and could at least give them some really hard 90 minutes. England however... for us it's THE ENGLAND, our long-time Nemesis that we have not beaten for over 30 years! Every time we had played them it was a do-or-die and... well, we died 7 times so far, getting eliminated from WC and EC chase thanks to that games.

It would be sweet to send England to the play-offs but i can't see that coming :-(

I see poor England(1-4 with DEN + 1-0 Wales but luckily + 0-1 with N.Ire)
and strong Poland (9 matches- 8 wins + 26 goals scored=3 per game almost)
