Beathun then blows for a foul and books Giakoumakis, the rapsit is allowed free reign to kick out and more to us but he's the biggest play actor out that lot

That track back to win the ball back in 1st half sums up what he is all about. Excellent movement coming in from the flanks too. Excellent performance.

See once he finds that little bit more composure :35:

    Played really well today.

Surprised when he came off as thought he was really causing Hearts trouble today.

Doesn't always have the end product but doesn't stop and gets into so many positions. Scary how good he could be with a bit more composure

Finishing is something the whole team, aside GG, struggle with.

Jota, Kyogo, Maeda and Abada could and should have had more goals this season. There's room for improvement in all of them.

9th goal of the season today.

That's an excellent return for a winger who arrived at the club mid season.

Great player for someone who looks like a Scoobie Doo villain, he would've got away with it if it weren't for those meddlin' kids.

His work rate really sets him apart from nearly anyone.

my worry is that he might not be technically good enough when it comes to the big european games.

I wish he would hold the ball in sometimes and work it down the wing. Similar to the Rangers game, in the opening stages of the match he was playing hopeful, first time balls to nobody where he might have been better holding it in and winning a throw in, free kick etc.

Unmatched energy though and deserved his goal when it came. His ball across the goal deserved a finish as well.

Don't think he will be technically good enough but his work rate will be invaluable when we are up against it. As we will be a lot in Europe next season. Certainly to begin with in the UCL.

Played well again today, been important for us since he has come in. Work rate is class.

Hopefully the technical side of his game will come on over the summer and next season. But he's indispensable right now. Work rate is just ridiculous.

Even on that side has improved I’d say since he’s been here, his touch was awful his first run of games but then that might be down him being more comfortable on the wing to take the ball in rather than up front.

He’s definitely not a natural goalscorer like GG but he’ll still score plenty.

I mentioned this to my mate earlier....but I don't think maeda even knows his best position.
Not a silky winger. Not a striker.

But what I think I know is......that I think he's still got a few gears to go up and when that happens he will be explosive

I reckon he'd be very good in a front 2..

Where he wasn't isolated or the expected goal grabber but pressed, had more space to run in behind and chipped in..

Still think in our setup though that he's best out wide. Would like to see him right wing at time's though as he's so direct that he would probably assist more from there being right footed.....plus Jota is unquestionably better off the left, although still very good on the right..

    * knows. Just keep it as it is :giggle1:

He is a weird one, not your typical player in many ways but unique in what he brings. He'll never be the top class star of the side but he will do essential work and chip in with a proper number of goals over a season.

Got a feeling he'll go down as a cult hero in the future.
