I won’t even mark the loss to hearts down to team as the lodge had more than a hand in that game

He is doing every Aussie and Aussie coach proud. He is opening a lot of doors for Aussie coaches with every success he has.

    Best Australian coach ever.

For me it was never a matter of if... it was simply a matter of how long it would take hime to succeed at Celtic. Genuinely believed he had a chance of winning the league first up (which isn't quite done yet), but what has really surprised me is how quickly and how well he's imposed his system on the group.

I wasn't the only one when I said (quite early) that Ange is a football genius and even The Genius seems to agree these days.

Anyway, not gloating - just enjoying the ride with everyone else. Great days to be Hoops.

so glad that you guys have taken to Ange and his football philosophy. as i said in this chat when he first signed that he will completely rebuild the squad and reshape how the club operates from top to bottom however even i am pleasantly surprised how quickly he has achieved it considering that historically his teams dont start humming till a few games in to his second year.
ill tell you a story about someone very close to me who worked very very closely with Ange in the aus NT setup - when he first signed with celtic i asked him "how do you think he will go" and he said "celtic will win the title and they will be blown away by how good of an operator he is". i said "how good exactly is he" and he said "he is the fukn best, best with motivation, the best with how he gets his message across, the best with creating a winning culture and the best with how he handles the media". finished off with saying "he is in the very top echelon of managers in world football"
i cant wait for CFC to win the premiership this year... HH

Guy needs something for what he has achieved. Probably the biggest set of achievements since 67 considering where we were in the summer both on and off the pitch.

    Can you imagine next season?

Scary to think his teams are meant to get better after the first year

I said at the beginning of the season that we weren't half as bad, or the Huns half as good, as last season suggested. All we needed was a good coach and manager to correct for the poor ethos and morale from the negative coaching and discipline of the Lennon regime. I didn't know if Ange was the guy, but he definitely came in with pedigree in the areas we needed and I'd give him time.

When the club gave him no backroom staff and coaches of his own, I was concerned he'd get isolated and could choke under the spotlight. When he had a blip at the start and a lot of fans got ratty and the media doubled down on it I got a little concerned it might pile up on him. I had hoped he'd hang in, start to really turn us around in Christmas transfer window and have us fighting in last few weeks to pip the league in the last few weeks, probably by at best 3 or 4 points, possibly lose buy the same.

Holy *! The way he's turned everything around in under 9 months is EPIC! As far as I'm concerned, getting him tied into a 3 year deal or the likes is as important as any player at the club. I'm genuinely enthralled to see what he might do with a full preseason and the potential of a CL level pot of cash to reinforce...

It was a mark of the man seeing how he handled Gio at the full-time whistle. It was like a father consoling a child, no disrespect intended to Gio in that analogy. It just put across that Ange is not some fresh faced managerial newbie. He's been in the game for decades and is actually a bit of an elder statesman in that regard

Time for a tifo insisting Ange be signed for five years.

Given the likelihood that we could be in the ECL every one of those five years - plenty of bonus money coming his way and he'll deserve every penny.

Just realised that in the off season we won't get to hear Ange's sexy voice in weekly press conferences, we won't get to see his sexy smile on the regular :-(

I'm going to put my hands up and admit that after the 3rd defeat that I was calling for his head. How delighted I am now that he has made a complete fool of me.

    Mon Ange you wee saucepot!

Nightly news here just covered the match. Unfortunately they also covered the broken bottle on the pitch!

That was the main point of their story. Far be it from a notorious league channel to have a positive football story.

As the season has progressed the team has learned and so has Ange. His game management yesterday was spot on, prob his best yet. Rogic went off for OReilly then OReilly gets injured. Ange said he is not too bad and could have soldiered on however, he didn't want to take chances with him when you have the bench that we have, replaced him with Turnbull. Superb

It was actually, relatively quite positive, focusing on the Australian angle. But yeah unfortunately the bottle got some airtime.

The voice-over was positive about Ange and Tam, but the footage strongly featured the bottle. Also the pre-advert teaser was along the lines of: Glasgow Derby halted by a broken bottle flung onto the pitch!!!

They do love any chance to stick the boot in. "I say! Those sokkah hooligans are at it again!"
