Shaun Maloney rejoins Celtic

well here's hoping he signs..... does anyone know when he is coming up for talks ? hopefully before the weekend .

 

Can't see it happening. I think our spending is over unfortunately. Strachan needs to buy quality but seems content with not buying quality and using excuses.

This current Celtic team lacks quality. The back 4 are the worst for a long long time and apart from the odd exception (Mcgeady, Naka), it's a team which lacks skill, pace and strength!

Chesney is a liability in the transfer market i'm afraid!

 

Of course he is thats why he brought in Naka, Boruc, JVOH, Robson, Hartley, Brown and McDonald. All those players helped us win the league last season.

The season has only started for goodness sake. We have the same amount of points as we did at this point last season. Give WGS a break. He deserves credit for what he has achieved with the budget.

I also dont think his spending is finished. 2 more atleast will come in before the window shuts

 

Right ok for a projected transfer of 1mil who can we get that is better?

Your looking at this all wrong. He is a good player who will strengthen the team and give us another option

If he signs I will be happy like a lot of true fans who want the best for the club. He will bring much needed flair and will give mcgeady and Mcdonald a kick in the * as he could rightly play in both positions

It's still a team which lacks skill and pace. Doesn't matter what spin you put on it. Yes they are effective players but not one of them has any pace.

We have quite a few midfielders but you'll see what i mean during the first old firm game next week. Rangers will play 4-5-1 and their 3 central midfielders will be Mendes, Davis & Thomson and unless Robson is played in the centre in that game instead of Brown, we will be totally overrun and out-muscled!

Come on. Brown has plenty of pace. So does Mcgeady.
As for their central midfield. Its nothing special. Mendes and Davis arre overrated. As for Thomson he is pretty poor.

At CP Im confident we will beat them.

 

imm glad he is cumin back. it didnt work out for him at villa and yes it does feel like we r his 2nd option but we all know what his ability is and it could be the kick up the * the team is needing!!

 

just heard on radio clyde that maloney is at parkhead just now and should be paraded tomorrow.

 

rangers dont play 4-5-1 anymore, they've got a more offensive formation now. didn't they play velicka, boyd and miller in their first game?

One thing i will say for both Mendes and Davis is that they are both pretty composed on the ball. They'll have miller wide along with lafferty i'd say who are both quick so they may overrun us in that dept. Our best hope is mcgeady against broadfoot and Jan against Weir
