    Is this the video?

From what I remember, those that considered themselves CSC hated being associated with the GB. I even remember hearing some CSC "chanting" some anti-GB songs at a Celtic game years ago, probably out of jealousy more than anything else. It was clear though that they were on their way out as an outfit, though. Nobody cares for football hooliganism at Celtic and nobody ever really did.

It seems the CSC have rebilled themselves as an ultras group but obviously with a bit of an emphasis on violence. They'll be young guys most likely, a lot of them going to get hit with court dates if they keep at what they're doing. It's sad but this young guy hooliganism * seems to be on the rise everywhere.

From an Irish Republican standpoint, anti-Protestant rhetoric doesn't make sense considering the founders of Irish Republicanism were protestants. In fact, I think all of the United Irishmen were protestants.

From a Celtic perspective, being anti-Protestant doesn't make sense considering some of the greats from that religious background that have served our club, as well as the protestants that support our club.

From a human standpoint, it's just sad, wee boy *. You can bet your bottom dollar they're not practicing Catholics, either. It's just an all-round weird angle to take.

These lads need to get themselves to a boxing gym, get a bit of direction in their lives & use up their energy that way.

I don’t claim to be an expert on these ultra groups but from the outside looking in it seems Bhoys want to take a more hardline Catholic stance and that’s why they maybe split from the GB? They certainly seem to fly more Vatican flags etc.

    * all wrong with celebrating the Catholic roots of the club. It’s not for me personally but each to their own.

That manifesting itself into anti Protestant bigotry though? Get that in * bin.

On the One Road is a banger of a tune as well. Just sing the actual * lyrics.

The CSC got chased back in the day because of their nonsense. Hopefully the same happens here. I wouldn’t judge anyone if they didn’t want to engage though. Hopefully they can be shamed into wrapping that *.

I'm the same mate, only heard of the Bhoys Ultras in this thread today. I just used to know a few that went down the hooligan route. I like the TIFOs and displays but I don't really care for the drama that goes with these groups. While I appreciate what the GB do, I don't put them on a pedestal over other Celtic fans.

I had a quick look online & like you said I seen videos with loads of Vatican flags in the stands, and then another video (posted below) of a big * off Vatican coloured flag with the Pope's XI on it.

Really odd angle they're taking. They're obviously trying to differentiate themselves from the GB & seem to be going down the Catholic route. Again, I highly doubt any of them are practicing & while the Catholic element of Celtic cannot be denied, it must never be allowed to be seen as exclusionary. As a Catholic, I hate * like Danny Dyer calling Celtic a "Catholic club".

It's always going to be classed as a Catholic club going by our history. Yes I do understand we have had and do have * fans and ex players but we will always be a Catholic club opened to all in many eyes.

The museum, another place very near me which I still haven't seen. Actually cycle past it many a times and drank in the pub next to it but never entered it. Another on the Todo list.

A Catholic club open to all is different to a Catholic club though to be fair. I agree with you, but the latter comes across as exclusionary and plays into petty sectarianism by feeding the idea we're two Glasgow clubs separated by religion.

One club was founded by Protestants for Protestants, the other founded by Catholics for Catholics (and everyone else).

Just catching up with all of this stuff as I’m on holiday, but the Bhoys have always been arseholes and I’ve disliked them since I sat in 444. They’ve been straying dangerously close to the line for a while now.

The add-on is so ridiculously unnecessary and offensive to anyone who comes from a Protestant background. My entire mums side of the family are Protestant but you won’t find a more dedicated group of supporters anywhere. Not to mention the significant role Protestants have had in the republican movement and in making our club what it is today.

    * them. They need kicked out if * like this continues.

Can we just get rid of the pro IRA chants , very embarrassing . Just let the other mob sing their songs to show how bigoted they are, not us.

Chanting about the IRA has nothing to do with bigotry.

It's just Ireland's struggle for liberation.

"It also has nothing to do with celtic"[/QUOTE]

That's like saying Palestine has nothing to do with Celtic.

Anti-colonial politics has always been expressed on the terraces of Parkhead.

In any case, it has no realtion to the ethnic chauvinism, right-wing extremism and general racism/sectarianism at Ibrox.

Putting anti-colonial or anti-impieralist political sentiment on the same level as racism is a major red flag for me.
