Mind you, if Celtic aren't there I'll be turning up at Ange's house with a baseball bat.

Sevco angry they are a side show and getting paid less than half so pulling out illegally against a signed contract? Hope so. Another court case to help put them under.

Its a grand old team to play for

The seating is a joke, they're asking for trouble if this goes ahead. I've got tickets but no way should there be mixed sections on a Sunday night when everyone's been drinking all day.

Was listening to the Down Under Podcast yesterday - the guys havbe tickets for this already and stating that a lot of tickerts are actually being sold in a mixed crowd setting. Some tickets also being sold by the organisers for over $250 a pop - another aspect to confirm what this entire thing is. A disneyfied exhibition to make money - we really shouldn't be playing this mob outside of competitive domestic games (assuming we never need to play the * in a European comp).

For the bhoys already getting tickets and excited for the game, of course I hope it goes ahead/you still get to see Celtic. But I won't pretend, if the whole "tournament" gets scrapped, I be * happy. Hopefully it does, but hopefully for the support down under, another one is set up pronto that is just Celtic playing a few Aussie and perhaps a few Japan clubs - as it should have been all along.

This skysports NZ "leak" is a way for the sevco board to back out, tail between legs.

It will be cancelled, rebranded, and different side will be invited.

Sydney will be green and white

Hilarious the people running this are doing this. It's unthinkable us and them sitting together in the same sections of the stadium. They really are asking for trouble although the ordinary Australian supporters of us might think it's ok and play up to it as it it's the thing to do in this snowflake age! IMO it's unthinkable sitting beside a Hun for a match against them. I just couldn't do it and I know id kick off before the game even started. What others think of that I don't care because it's just part of who I am and part of my beliefs as a Celtic man.

Controversial plans to take the Old Firm derby Down Under are in danger of collapsing with Rangers considering a humiliating U-turn in the face of a furious backlash from their own supporters.

Record Sport understands Ibrox top brass have been considering aborting the big money Australian trip after the club’s fans reacted with fury to the plan.

Sources in Australia are adamant Rangers will be clobbered with a massive seven figure penalty if they do plunge the four team tournament into disarray.

Several directors faced a barrage of abuse from furious fans at Dens Park before and after their club’s Scottish Cup quarter final win over Dundee in the latest of a series of bad tempered protests.

And with militant fans groups’ locked in talks over how best to force their beleaguered board into a climb down, organisers of the Sydney Super Cup - who launched ticket sales earlier this week - are concerned that Scotland’s champions may be looking for a way out.

Celtic have packaged the winter tour as an emotional homecoming for manager Ange Postecoglou and the Parkhead club remain fully committed to participating regardless of whether or not their city rivals take part.

But - with plenty of time for a replacement to be secured - the Ibrox club may believe there is a legal loophole which can be exploited to allow them to withdraw without being hit in the pocket.

Fans of both clubs have protested against the historic event ever since it was first announced on the other side of the planet in the middle of night.

Celtic confirmed their intentions to attend the following day while Rangers waited for another 24 hours before finally making an official announcement of their own and sparking outrage among the club’s supporters.
