Ridiculous statement. Scratching my head why any decent Celtic man would come off with such *.

With the total lack of the respect he has shown us it is hard to imagine anyone wishing him well imo.

It's definitely a bit below the belt, but it can certainly be argued that Mr. Lennon deserves some rich comments aimed back at him considering the amount of verbal * he's flung at Celtic supporters over the years, and recently...

Lenny should have known better but the * that's been said about him by supposedly Celtic supporters has been * disgusting! I don't even think I'd say some of the things said against him with the same venom against some Huns. But then again, most of the times I just laugh at the * wrighting it because it boils down to the individuals own * life which makes them come off with such nonsense. Nobody with a half decent happy life would spout such * I guess.

I think once you get to a certain point in your life, or when you've come to terms with certain experiences, then the idea of genuinely hating people—despite their issues, flaws, wrongdoings—just seems a weird thing to do. I hope they grow out of it.

This. Still a reasonable number of weirdos who won't see a bad word said about a guy who couldn't give a * about them.

    Strange behaviour from adults.

Everything that was said in the press conference of our new coach, Mr. Neil Lennon. Initially, the Vice President of our team, Mr. Dimitris Grigoris, stated: "Dear media representatives, we welcome you to the presentation of our new coach and thank you for being here. OMONIA has passed into the era of Mr. Neil Lennon. We feel quite optimistic with the choice we have made.

Mr. Lennon met all the basic conditions we set for the position of coach. Initially, in the meetings with the Scouting Department, as well as in the other two meetings that followed with the Planning Team, there was a complete identification with our beliefs and philosophy. We evaluated dozens of coaches' CVs, then the shortlist was formed and we easily came to the decision to work with Mr. Neil Lennon. Mr. Neil Lennon has a strong personality, he has won championships as a coach and as a player, he has won several titles, he has worked under pressure from a big team like Celtic, he has done extremely well as a coach for a smaller team like Hibernian, he has managed players well - personalities and promoted young players. If we add to these his desire to work at OMONIA and his desire to associate his name with the Association, then we understand why Mr. Lennon was chosen.

This is a man dedicated to football. Both as a player and as a coach, he worked at a very high level and coexisted with leading personalities in the field. It has to show significant records that confirm its value. OMONIA sees its future with Mr. Neil Lennon. The 2.5 year contract testifies to the truth of the matter. At this point we would like to thank the representative of our coach, Mr. Martin Rielly, for the excellent cooperation we have had all these days. Let us also inform you that we have reached an agreement in principle with Mr. Garry Parker to take over the position of assistant coach. He will be in Cyprus for the next 24 hours in order to complete the agreement. Mr. Parker worked for years with Mr. Lenon at Celtic, Bolton and Hibernian. We move forward together to achieve our goals. Success is a matter for all of us. Everyone from their own position has an important role to play in order for OMONIA to be successful. The goal of the season is to win the cup. We recognize the difficulties, however we all want to do our best to win this title. As Mr. Lennon mentioned in his meeting with the footballers yesterday, winning the cup is a non-negotiable goal.

In addition, the timing offers the opportunity for Mr. Lennon to evaluate the roster and the needs of the team, but also to get a "taste" of the league and our competitors, so that he can start planning for the new season. It is important to note that Mr. Lennon had a complete view of our team, our roster and individually of our players, as he studied them via video the previous days. We therefore welcome Mr. Lennon to the OMONIA family. He will be by his side in the effort to bring even more success to our team ". Then our new coach, Mr. Neil Lennon, proceeded to the following positions: "I'm happy to be here in this fantastic club. It is an opportunity to win trophies. Now we will try to bring more trophies to the team, it is a challenge for me. It's a big motivator. Thanks to the programming team and those who have helped me adjust, the players and those behind the scenes. "I am proud to be the coach of OMONIA". If he watched matches in Cyprus and what impressions did he get: "Yes, I was here. I enjoyed it, there was quality. It could be any result. APOEL had the upper hand, however, and Anorthosis had very good opportunities. "It was a good opportunity to get a picture of the level of football here."

For the data he wants to put in OMONIA: "In such questions, the coaches say the same. To play aggressively etc. I will avoid saying that, you will see it on the field. Aggressive with the ball and without, we must have control of the ball. We have great players, what we like. I found out today in training. They are great and it's something that motivates me and satisfies me. I will not say more. Game by game to put the data in the team ". Regarding his decision to work outside Britain and his motivation to work in Omonia: "I have a huge motivation to be successful. I wanted to work outside the UK. It is fantastic that Omonia gave me this opportunity. Football is a spectacle. Victories are important as well as goals and good looks. To be able to win titles. I'm not hungry, I'm starving for success and I want to bring them to the team. It is my job to motivate the players, to play for the emblem and to go as high as we can. And then to rebuild. Omonia gives me this opportunity ". Whether he will seek to adapt to the Cypriot data or whether he will attempt his philosophy in OMONIA: "I will definitely try to put my own personality, my own style. For example some data we had in Celtic. It is difficult to defend the title of champion, but to be champions means they are capable. I will try to put the data in the team, but not soon. Gradually. The team has footballers from the academies and quality foreigners. That's an important balance. " For the first thing he thought when he accepted the proposal and the reason he accepted: "The main reasons are that we can win titles and that it gives me the opportunity of Europe. The championship last year that showed that there is quality. I also saw it from the videos. I understood that from the discussions as well. We will strive for success. It's easy to say what we're going to do but my job is to motivate the players to play for the emblem. "I am very happy with the prospect." On how he feels about succeeding Henning Berg: "It has happened to me again, my predecessor to win trophies, in Celtic and I know the feeling. I have no problem succeeding his work, he did an excellent job. I thank him for that. He did an excellent job at OMONIA. "We played as opponents when he was at Blackburn Rovers and Rangers." He was then asked what stood out in Omonia's roster: "I do not want to share what stood out. We have a good roster, a lot of quality. I watched the players via video. I was impressed to see them up close. It is an excellent material that I can work with so that we can finish the season perfectly ". Whether he will continue to promote young talent: "Yes, if possible. If they are capable and can, I will certainly do it. It is fantastic to be able to promote young players. I have seen them, but they want their time, to learn to manage them properly ". For the cup match with AEL: "We will try. We have a game on Saturday. After that we will focus on Wednesday's match. We know the importance of the fight. We will watch AEL tomorrow, it is a good opportunity. It takes time to pass the philosophy but we will try to pass messages about what we want and how we will achieve it ". If he has met OMONIA fans so far: "Yes, the taxi driver who brought me to sleep at night. I can tell the world that I will do everything for the team to be successful ". If the fact that only the Cup is a way out in Europe puts pressure: "Now we have matches on Saturday and after Wednesday. I do not want to speak hypothetically but realistically. "Next season, the goal is definitely to go to the championship again." If he talked to someone who passed through Cyprus and about the 2.5 year contract he signed: "I want to build something here. It is a good organization and I want to improve it even more. I want to bring the right players. I talked to some people who know and they gave me a lot of positive feedback like about the good quality of football and life here. I talked to Gomez who was also in England and he told me the best. Mikou who was at Celtic also played here. Those I spoke to were not negative and gave positive comments about the team and Cyprus. I saw some positives in the match yesterday (APOEL - Anorthosis) and some similarities with Scotland such as passion and refereeing ". Which model do you prefer and how does it want you to move transfer: "It's good to work with a planning team like I did before. It is important to hear other views. I will have good cooperation here as well. I have already spoken to Simos who is a man of football. This is how teams are built

Garry Parker joins him in Cyprus

He reportedly sent abusive texts to his mistress in Bolton so can see why he likes to take him everywhere with him
