It's a real choker that this one is in midweek as I have never had the opportunity to see my two teams do battle before.

City are worrying me a bit, I have to say. I can see Celtic winning 2-0 and Samaras scoring is as nailed on a certainty as you can get.

I'd love Samaras to score and celebrate right in front of the City fans. How sweet would that be for the guy after all the stick he took down there?

    Hi from a newbie here

I'm from Manchester and have been a City fan since the sixties. Then came a Parkhead pre-season.

City's keeper, Joe Corrigan played a blinder to keep the score to 0-0. A Celtic supporter then presented him with a Celtic scarf.

The Hoops have been my second team ever since, even through the days of Hun domination. I've now got two tops from each club and I wear the hoops with pride.

Keen as I always am to see City win, I won't mind them losing this one. My guess is 3-1, but anything can happen in friendlies. With City playing AC Milan 3 days later, they could well field a weakened team.

I've three great hopes for the match.

    1) Nobody gets injured.
    2) It's a good game.
    3) Both supporters share a chant of, "It you hate Glasgow R*ng*rs, clap your hands".

Anyway, since the low-life scum's vandalism following Zenit's great win on May 14th, Celtic has become the Glasgow team of ALL Manchester's neutrals.

However well Celtic do on Wednesday, I hope they do ten times better in their last game of this month!

2-1 Celtic but bit sceptical with Man City already playing some competitive games in the Uefa cup and that

    Thanks Hail Hail!

I might go long periods without appearing here, but I'll be back in 2016 to celebrate The Bhoys' 11th consecutive Championship ...hopefully.

Couldn't agree more mate. I was going to go over and wear a bit of both sky blue and green but dont have the money :54: so its the tv with a few beers for me.

I don't care who wins to be honest I'm happy either way. I want to see how the two young lads (sturridge and evans) can handle Celtic as Hughes has been playing them every match so far trying to give them some experience. Don't reckon they'll score though, gonna come down to fellas with more experience.

2-2 Bojinov, Elano - McGeady, JovH.

More interested to see if Valeri Bojinov gets a decent amount of time myself and whether he can look the part against stiffer opposition than Stockport. It will also be interesting to see if Corluka takes any part after today's speculation.

City's lack of creativity (excepting games against Faroese opposition) concerms me, and I just cannot see us scoring. I'd be amazed if the Hoops don't win this one to be honest.
