Think the guys potentially going through on goal - I’ve not watched it back right enough but I was delighted when he got brought down at the time.

Aye Bitton should be, he couldn’t lace Alan Thompson or Scott Browns boots.

To even compare him with the above is absurd.

In all honesty Bitton is a bit part player who we can do without.

the other two players made massive impacts more so Brown so to compare them with Bitton and what they done or achieved is silly.

You are also forgetting what he done in Europe…..

Overall Bitton has done * all for us on the whole bar fill in positions as a stop gap to compare him with Tommo and Brown.

I’m on your side here but he’s not a Thommo or Broony for us

I thought he was havng a very good game up until the sending off. Both bookings were the result of other players making mistakes and him having to be the one who "dealt" with it. The first one he probably thought was wirth it to stop them breaking forward. The second one I'm not even sure it was much of a foul, and definitely there was other cover, although he shouldn't be putting his hands on the guy at all.

I think we'll miss him on Wed

He's filled in for our captain recently and done a good job, which isn't doing * all for us. If we didn't have him who else would we play and do you agree he'll be missed on Wednesday.

Just because he’s better than what’s available doesn’t mean he’s any good. He’s bang average, fills in at times and does ok but always feel he’s an accident waiting to happen. Him and Soro regularly look on the cusp of being sent off.

I know mate, I’m just making the point that it’s bizarre to say someone should be chased out the club for a daft red card, regardless of their contribution to the club.

I’m happy to debate his footballing contribution and importance within our squad.

But that wasn’t your initial argument was it?

You said he should have been ‘chased’ out of the club after what happened at Ibrox, implying that his sending off should have been enough to end his Celtic career, which is one of the dumbest takes I’ve ever seen.

Hence why I pointed out the hypocrisy of it by referencing the stupidity of some of Brown and Thompson’s red cards. I take it you didn’t want them chased after the incidents I mentioned?

So if you want him away from the club because you think he’s a poor player then that’s fine, I don’t agree with that either but you’re entitled to that opinion.

But to say someone should be chased for a red card or two is mental talk.

Personally I think he’s class when played in position. He’s barely put a foot wrong in weeks/months.

I don’t think it’s his footballing ability being questioned more his temperament.

He doesn’t adapt to being booked and seems to have a lack of self control. The handball against hearts (not the penalty the one before it) and the sending off against Midtjylland are both examples of this, yesterday too he lost his temper or panicked in all those scenarios.

When it matters to the club in the big games he's not reliable recently

A few good games don't change the fact that when it seriously matters he's good for a red card.

Couldn't give a * if he takes one for the team. He is not to be trusted.

Sounds daft saying it but we probably drop point's yesterday with 11 on the park. It just wasn't looking likely..

Taking Jackie off (as he was having a stinker) and putting Abada up top, worked a treat. We seemed to get a second wind after the 'injustice' and forced it...where as it looked like it was petering out..

I said at the game that Biton going off could suit us in the remaining time. Thought DU would try for the win & leave more space which can be seen down the right with JJ & Jota before the goal.

I think he's done really well whenever called upon, but can be frustrating at times.

Takes no flak off me for the sending off, worlds apart from his stupid red earlier in the season.

He’s been playing well recently and actually adding facets to his game as well like bursting forward from midfield with the ball at his feet.

Can we appeal the second yellow, just to let him play against the huns?
He was really good up to that yellow, moving the ball swiftly and accurately.
