Great debut, especially at that shytehole.
Was watching his youtube highlights.
While highlights can obviously mislead, what stands out is his ability for a very quick pass forward, he seems to be very alert by any standard, if he can show that rare ability consistently he is going to be a star.
Can see him playing in Jota & Kyogo for fun.

Of course not. Wouldn’t dream of it, but he gives us proper strength in depth and proper rotation.

 

Yep good, looked very like Rogic - not that fast but brilliant touch and good on the turn.

I thought he played really well.

Delighted to have him. Hopefully there's much more to come from him.

 

Started slow and didn't seem to get a touch for a long time but grew into the game. Looks tidy on the ball, bit lanky and not the quickest looking bit like Rogic when he first signed, seems to be lacking a bit of fitness.

 

What a * performance from this lad tonight. Some of them passes especially first time ones to move us up the park we’re superb. Assist too! Tbh didn’t expect much less probably the most confident I’ve been with a new signing coming in under Ange to come straight in and perform. Admittedly didn’t know a thing about Jota, Kyogo ect but was very excited about them regardless, what a team we could build here…

 

The depth we are building is something else. That midfield is coming together beautifully and yes it would be fantastic to be able to rotate Tam with such quality.

 

He did look a bit slow at time's on the ball but that's due to the difference in tempo and being his debut with no a lot of time..

He was class overall and grew in to it well. He isn't rapid but he isn't slow either. Once he's up to speed with how we play, he'll be a star..

Saw loads of examples today. Could've had a goal and 3 assists instead of the 1. Jackie. Forrest. Juranovic..

Think it was just the pace of the game and our play that maybe caught him by surprise. Tight pitch as well..

 

Still 21 and developing, for me he could probably put on a bit of weight and be a wee bit quicker over the next few months the more he gets up to speed and gets fitter with playing for us and probably the extra running at pace we do.

At MK Dons he might have been a wee bit more of a luxury player and playmaker and took it a bit easier and was covered by other players but here the way we set up we need the players where him Hatate, Rogic and Turnbull play to do a lot of running and defending.

I thought we looked quite ropey and disjointed in the first 5-10 minutes, Hearts never really pressed us but the defence couldn't get linking with the midfield and and we were pinned in unable to pass our way out. Looked like the centre-backs and Bitton weren't sure what to do and might have been * themselves incase they gave the ball away as they don't know that much about Hatate and O'Riley and if they would provide cover or were going to leave them exposed. Looked really weird and cautious at the start. If McGregor was playing we might have been more comfortable but we looked scared to play our way out and were playing really safe until Hatate and Jota started coming into the game then everybody relaxed.

 

I thought he made a good solid debut and fitted into our system really well. Another good Ange signing.

 

Not only that, but he's been reportedly head and shoulders above everything else in League 2 in England and has made a huge step up. He'll take time to adjust.

The early signs are very encouraging. Thrown in at the deep end and away to Hearts for your first match. Really impressive turnout.
