Daizen Maeda

I like him. Tons of energy but should have scored - * away a great chance in 2nd half. Unlucky with the header though. That was a top save.

 

Should have had a couple but I was impressed. Excellent movement and pace, so lively and really unlucky with that header.

Think he's better in the middle but still looks a constant danger on the left and even right. Not like Kyogo in that sense who becomes ineffective there.

 

Obviously a far better choice through the middle than GG and Ajeti , and has really good pace which is always a plus.
Good bit of business.

 

Absolute * he's been called up, would have been starting the next 3 games for me at ST if he wasn't.

Missed a few chances though that he should've done better with..

 

Not as clinical in front of goal as kyogo , we're still not playing to his strengths I also expected him to press as well if not better than kyogo but not atm .

 

Just like the look of him. Very dangerous and intelligent.

 

Definitely think he’s more suited centrally so once Kyogo is back it’ll be interesting to see how we line up.

His pace and movement will get him loads of goals for us in the long run.

 

Aye, looks better through the middle. That header was a belter, great save from the keeper.

You can tell he knows Anges system inside out which can only benefit the rest of the team. Drifted about all game, can’t take your eyes off him just like Kyogo.

Unlucky not the score with the header as well, pure aerodynamics aff his wee baldy napper.

 

Not as sure about him out wide his crossing was wild and he turned back more often than not. It would maybe work if the other winger is Jota or similar, as he still has the intelligent movement and pace to get into good positions.

Still not sure how he didn’t score the 1v1 chance he put past the post, the other two he did the right thing with the header and shot from the left tight angle just two good saves from the keeper.

He will definitely score goals as his movement and pace are ridiculous, just needs to be a bit more clinical and continue to work on his use of the ball when he gets in dangerous positions to pick out team mates.

Remember the chances Kyogo wasted at the start mate, Maeda will start to bury chances.

 

People need to remember Maeda’s season finished early December. He’s just coming into pre-season here, he will sharpen up fast.
