The lack of enthusiasm for someone who has just won the World Championship from the crowd and the commentators is a * embarrassment and does nothing for the tournament. If this is how they react when they dont get their wee englishman to win then they need to take the final elsewhere, this is supposed to be the show piece event. Sad *.

* me, feel bad for Peter Wright, he's almost having to apologize for winning. Get this to * out of this venue for next year, this should be a massive celebration for the winner. Horrible, weird atmosphere.

 

By the way, the crowd are pathetic, but there’s people in this thread that are slating them but are just as ignorant themselves.

Some amount of stupidity being spouted in the last few days. Darts matches ebb and flow and always will. Just because * aren’t smashing 180s and 9, 10, 11 dart legs every leg doesn’t mean they have ‘shat it’, is an ‘idiot’ or ‘deserves to lose it’

Honestly, the players now are that good that they are a victim of their own success. Brilliant tournament and Wright has cemented his legacy of one of the greatest players of all time.
