That second goal is pornhub material

Just imagine if we had one more creative genius in midfield. We are looking at the same amount of goals as Larsson. Not saying he's as good because he isn't, but what a * player.

Its mad how lucky we have been in the strikers position the last few years.

Ange Postecoglou has hailed his Hampden goal hero as a fantastic player and also a great human being following the League Cup final victory over Hibernian on Sunday.

Kyogo had been an injury doubt ahead of the game, but the Japanese striker’s determination to play his part for the team saw him score both goals to bring the first silverware of the season back to Celtic Park, and take his personal goals tally this season to an impressive 16.

His manager was understandably delighted with the performance, and explained that Kyogo’s sole focus after picking up an injury earlier in the month against Real Betis was on ensuring he would be out on the Hampden pitch alongside his Celtic team-mates.

“He just had it in his head that he was going to play, no matter what anyone else told him,” the Hoops boss said. “From the moment he got injured he just thought he was going to be here on this day.

'He wasn’t 100 per cent and I was kind of hoping he would just play within himself but he’s a quality player and a person.'

“His movement is incredible but his composure in such a big game to finish in those ways, he’s just a top-class player.”

It was Hibs who took the lead early in the second half at Hampden through Paul Hanlon, but that goal was cancelled out immediately when Kyogo latched on to a ball from Callum McGregor and coolly slotted it home for the equaliser.

Then he provided a stunning winner, reacting quickest to a Tom Rogic free-kick over the top of the Hibs defence and lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper from the edge of the area to send the Celtic fans into ecstasy.

And his celebrations on the touchline with the manager, both after that stunning goal and then at full-time, illustrated the bond between the two men.

“I feel a responsibility with him because I am the one who brought him here,” Ange Postecoglou explained.

'When I took over here, Kyogo was always going to be my first pick because I had witnessed first-hand what sort of player he was.'

“You are bringing someone from the other side of the world and I don’t think anyone would have said he was a cast-iron guarantee to be a hit for a lot of people.

“I knew he would be a fantastic player and I had no doubt he would be successful, but it’s not just him, it’s with all of them. They put so much work into it.”

There were 13 Celtic players at Hampden who picked up their first winner’s medal for the club, and that included two-goal hero, Kyogo Furuhashi.

The 26-year-old Japanese striker, who joined Celtic at the end of July, provided a masterclass in finishing in the League Cup final, scoring both of Celtic’s goals in the 2-1 victory over Hibernian.

It takes his tally for the season so far to 16, and not surprisingly, Kyogo was delighted with the goals but, more importantly, for the team to lift the trophy.

Speaking to the official club website today, Celtic’s Hampden hero said: “You want to be a footballer and play football for days like yesterday, to be part of these moments when all our hard work comes together and we get the rewards through this kind of success.

“I thought we deserved the win and to come out on top with the trophy we are just all really happy.

'It is just a brilliant feeling to be part of this team and win my first trophy with Celtic and I am delighted for everyone at the club, the manager, our staff and all our supporters.'

It was Hibernian who took the lead early in the second half, but while their supporters will still celebrating Paul Hanlon’s goal, Kyogo was already up the other end of the pitch firing home Celtic’s equaliser after he was set up by captain, Callum McGregor.

And with less than 20 minutes remaining, the Japanese internationalist provided the winning goal, racing on to a quick Tom Rogic free-kick and producing a sublime lob over the Hibs goalkeeper to spark wild scenes of celebration amongst the Celtic supporters.

Kyogo said: “After we went behind in the match it was really important to get back into the game quickly and thankfully that’s what we did, immediately really. That then gave us the opportunity to go again and try and fight to get the win.

“I wasn’t 100 per cent going into the match after the injury but I just had to play. I had to! I could not miss it. I knew what an important match it was for us all and I wanted to be part of it and give as much as I could.

“The atmosphere was so good and it was a joy to play out there in such a big match in front of a full crowd, it really was something special and one of the great moments of my career so far – but I hope, of course, there are some more days like this.

“It’s nice to score the goals but everything we do, we do it together as a team and I need to say that the passes I received from Callum and Tom were fantastic.

“I know it is my job to find the net but any forward needs support and to receive great assists like that makes my job a bit easier.

“So this win is about every one of us at the club working hard together and doing all we can to bring our fans success. We are glad we did and hope our fans enjoyed the day as much as we did.”
