Thought he was fine today. Find this scapegoating a bit weird. People like Hartson have just jumped on him. Own goal was a howler but can happen to anyone.

I think as an actual defender he is fine. He was a bit more aggressive today and was defending on the front foot a bit more. The issue I have is that he looks so uncomfortable on the ball, which is pretty crucial for the way the manager wants to play. At one point in the first half he read a pass into Morelos and intercepted, took a couple of strides forward and completely froze and * a somple pass.

Exactly he's not a ball playing possession based Centre back. Shane Duffy was never going to work no matter what but the same could be said for him, its why he shines at the likes of Brighton, they are getting bombarded by balls into the box most weeks by teams who are all over them.

Shane Duffy was an example of very poor scouting at work. He is capable of being a good defender but Celtic were always going to be the wrong club for him due to the way we play it out from the back and often have the vast majority of possession. Hopefully Starfelt can adjust to our way of playing, he has shown signs that he can be a player for us.

This is probably the best game he's had. Still not a great player in my eyes but can't be held accountable for the loss today, was fairly busy and did a decent enough job.

The guy had better passing stats than any CB in the Scottish league last year. He was signed because there is physical evidence of him being good on the ball.

But a few bad games with us and he’s a backs to the wall defender all of a sudden.

    Christ.

He looks terrified. He needs to realise that the huns diving round him will get the fk and not get close enough to them so they can sell it. * were diving relentlessly.

I’m optimistic that he’s going to come good. He hopefully just needs to settle his nerves and get his head up.

Thought Starfelt was one of the positives for us today. Had a very decent game and hopefully can take confidence from today for himself and build on that.

One of the few that gets pass marks for me. Kept Roofe quiet and was up to the physical side which our centre-halves have lacked for a good wee while now.

I don't understand this "terrified" patter that's going on. Seems like he's being made a scapegoat. What I will say is he looks uncomfortable on the left-hand side. It can be seen in the way the ball runs across him sometimes but again, far from our worst player today

I thought he was good today, seemed to keep them pretty quiet.

That being said, I don't know why we need to rewrite the last few weeks and pretend he's been a scapegoat.

He's had horrendous errors and some generally poor play mixed in with some good play too. That's the reality, there's no need to pretend he's been hard done by.

Hopefully this game will be a turning point for him and he can kick on and become a solid defender for us. I thought even his passing out the back looked less nervy today.

I think that those blaming him for today's loss are making him a scapegoat based on those past mistakes that you've mentioned.

Much better today, although the one time I praised him he immediately gave them the ball and they nearly scored. Won't be doing that again.

Was decent enough yesterday, one silly rugby tackle gave away a free in a dangerous area.
Madness people saying he cost us the game, failure to take gilt edged chances cost us the game.

Some good tackles, looked good enough on the ball and a terrific backward header at one of the corners that takes some skill. Was quite good today. Still coming to terms with Scottish refs and nearly lost it a couple of times.

think he was moved back to the left because when he was playing on the right he kept passing the ball close to their striker when passing to welsh , hes so one footed that he would maybe be caught out.

Done * all wrong bar the ref falling for morelos etc dives. He learned how to deal with that aswel. The pish people screamed in here after that game shows he is the scapegoat. Played good, and called worse than Duffy. Pure toxic hatred towards this boy already won't do anyone any good.

They score from a brilliant set play. Perfect delivery, and Helander times it 100%.
    Schoolbook example.

That said, my take (which is the same now as before he signed) is that he´s not good enough. He´s not the disaster some make it out to be, far from it, but just not good enough. No amount of games will change it.

    I liked him yesterday.

Took a lot of stick so far, he's a bombscare to say the least, but yesterday he was reasonably solid and done well not to get caught out by the Huns tactics.

Clear as day roofe and Morelos was instructed to try and play act around starfelt and Welsh in hopes of getting "easy" freekicks, or better for them, one of our guys sent off.

It worked in parts, but not too much and they never got the better of the our pair.

    Good on starfelt.

    He did alright yesterday.

He'd be a great back up. If we are to progress as a club, we need another center back to walk into that defence by replacing him.

Think he was a bit to rash at times, however was decent enough.

Guy still looks a bag of nerves with ball at feet.

Welsh was to blame for goal from cross.
