Being spoiled is one way of looking at it. Another way is that we have standards.

We've had the likes of McDonald, who is no Larsson, but still scored more than 30 and scored in big games. We've had Hesselink, who is no Sutton, but would chip in with assists and provide knock downs, as well as goals. We've had Stokes, who is no Bellamy, but when his goals dried up, he became a team player and started assisting lots.

That's 3 strikers, who are by no means heralded as the best of the last 15 years, but they all provided something that Eddy is not. The fact that I can compare them with a straight face shows how desperately poor Eddy has been.

Take the money. He can’t be trusted to turn it on consistently enough.

Keep, he cant be as bad as he was last year, even still being * he was the top scorer.

We wouldn't get the full amount anyways due to the sell on fee. If he goes next year, helps us win the league then 40million and the lure of champions league is a better carrot to bring better players in quicker.
I hope we dont cut our nose aff to spite our face with eddy. He still has some hunskelping left in um yet.

We need too many players to knock it back and no chance we spend decent money unless he gets sold. Wouldn't be relying on him to put the effort in either if he stayed either.

If we were guaranteed a top form Eddy then it would a easy choice. But after last year and the showings so far this season we can’t so he has to go.

I suspect he is deliberately pricing himself out of moves down south this window, so he can leave on a free next year.

If this happens, I hope he regains form and scores lots of goals and we win the league, so get automatic entry into the CL group stages.

I'd take anything over £10m for him, get him off the wage bill and he can take his attitude with him. Sulking about can't be good for the rest of the team.

Dev you sly *. I honestly don’t know the answer.

If it was guaranteed he helped us win the league then it’s a no brainer but it’s hypothetical at this point. There’s also the worry he signs a pre contract in January and is more concerned with not injuring himself in the second half of the season.

However if a LB, CB and cheaper ST replacement are dependant on his transfer fee then that sways me to sell.

If the reports on his sell on clause are true (seriously doubt they are) 60% of something is better that 60% of * all.

So he stays goes for nothing next summer and we don’t win the league then we have lost out in 30/40 million champions league money and 15 million on the player sale.

We need more players in the door and by the looks of it the board and not willing to push the boat out until players are sold we won’t get enough in to help us win the league.

Not really, just would you rather he was here to have a crack at helping us to it or the money.

What I will say is, IF we are going to sell him then we better do it soon. None of this deadline day pish then the “well we tried to get replacements but...”

    No.
