I said weeks ago, I think we'll give out some doings this season, but concede too many too, and so far I haven't seen anything to change my mind. We're so open at the back.

Done some job turning our insipid performances around, but he now needs help in the shape of signings badly. That back line is absolutely honking!

 

I like what he's doing and what he has done but right now I think the board are on a knife edge with him. Like his tolerance is being tested. His body language and demeanor look a little cagey during interviews like he wants to say more than he's saying. I don't think that he's all in just yet. There seems to be too many variables in play. Will the board back him? Will he be able to make it work in the long term with the back room staff? The team? I have to say like the rest of you I'm impressed and have no doubt he could take us a long way but when I watch him I feel something isn't right.

 

I get your point mate, but he’s not being given enough signings to change it a lot. If we get any injuries in certain positions we are in deep *.

That bench today was pretty grim. Ajeti, Bitton and Griffiths shouldn’t be at the club. Montgomery is a kid, Soro isn’t exactly a game changer.

We've lost our way the last couple games once he's made subs. Need better subs.

 

Was able to watch the game on Kayo - very happy to do so. Ange has really woven some magic in the side in a short space of time and it is still early days. My impressions....

Really great football to watch in the first half.. my mind kept saying Real Madrid.
Kyogo came in for some rough treatment today and the refs need to be more assertive in dealing with such incidents.
Beautiful one touch football in the first 45 minutes. Second half the intensity seemed to taper off.
Great headed goal by Welsh, good distribution also.
Good to see movement from Edouard and his fine touches but still needs to be more decisive when attempting to score. He needed that extended playing time on the pitch today.
Must not surrender a 2 goal lead.
The passing became too intricate in front and allowed the Hearts defense to get tight and make it harder to break through
Callum was great and led by example.
Looking forward to 2 more signings this week before the deadline arrives soon.
Expect AZ to get a hiding at home in order to make the return leg safe.

 

The players coming off the bench can't play the way we played in the first 45 - not yet, at least. This has been abundantly clear after we made subs the past two matches.

 

Definitely both fair points and highlight how much we need further investment in the squad.
