    the other day the mrs foned sky broadband as we were gonny switch from bt broadband
    anyway after setting things up with sky we had to fone bt to tell them about the switch

    but bt broadband said ,"we have a year left on the contract"heres the best bit

    stay with us and we wil reduce your broadband by £6 a month a.s.a.p ,we never even asked

    so mabye a wee handy hint for ya

    It's true mate, stuff like this always works.. my friends dad used to work for Virgin and told us to phone up and complain about the most trivial things...
    Anyway, their internet connection to us was constantly getting cut off so my dad phoned up and complained. He said that he was gonna switch to sky. The next day, a Virgin worker was at the door, upgrading our Broadband from 2mb to 20mb for free and fixing the cables that were installed wrong.

    My friends dad said: (this is a direct quote btw) "if you tell a company like Virgin that you're gonna switch to their rivals, they'd send somebody round to suck your * if you really wanted, becasue we're under strict instructions to not lose customrs to rivals" :56:

    All these companies are the same, I threatened to stop my Setanta a few weeks ago, and they gave me 3 months for £5. I'll be threatening to stop again sometime soon :icon_mrgreen:

    yes i did that last year as they never renewed my subscription in time and i said id missed football i wanted to see

    same as u 3 months for a fiver

    :bbpd:i must try that with sky, their subscription just keeps going up & up, i think it has went up by £25.00 since i got it 7 years ago, i would get one of the dodgy boxes but i would miss my sky+:bbpd:

    it was my internet subcription they reduced

    I complain to the wife about the lack of *........all that happens is I dont get it for longer. By rights, she should be jumping my bones every other night.
