Guys PLEASE excuse me for putting this post here I would be grateful if you admin Gurus would even move it to another thread rather than deleting it and hope you dont mind.

    Fellow Celts
You may already have seen the Letter below that was sent from the New Orleans
C.S.C. Your politics may mean that you might not feel it is proper to send donations to a Country
As Rich as America or that you feel that they are not doing enough to help there own.

HOWEVER a Celtic Supporters club and its members has been hit hard and we are making a donation
In the Name of the worldwide Celtic family to help the New Orleans CSC . We have
Asked both the Celtic supporters association and the Affiliation of registered Celtic Supporters Clubs
To oversee our appeal by checking our bank accounts and we would be grateful for any donations
That you may want to make.

Dear Celtic Family, Just wanted to let everyone know that we are O.K. I was
awakened on Sunday morning by a phone call from Stephen Patterson telling me
that he was leaving the city....I had meant to be up bright and early to leave,
however had overslept....Thank * he called. My wife and I quickly threw some
things in a suitcase, however I did manage to rip my Celtic shares from the
wall, grab my 67 prog and my hoops. We headed east to Meridian then headed
north to Jackson MS. Luckily I found a hotel there. The following morning we
just sat and watched in disbelief as Katrina destroyed the Gulf Coast and
Nawlins. Then it started to sink in how serious this was. Later that afternoon
the aftermath of Katrina swept through Mississippi...We lost power in the hotel,
so I could't find out what was happening. I started making phone calls on my
cell trying to find out if everyone that I could think of was OK. Trying to get
through to someone was impossible. The following morning I managed to get a hold
of Stephen Patterson...he had stayed the night in Monroe....where he had met
Steve Kirk and his wife Siobhan and two kids. Stephen Patterson told me to get
to Crowley as friends of his had a house that we could use. Once we got to our
sanctuary and started watching tv I was completely stunned at the events. We
started to call to see if Stephen Holzenthal and his new child had made it out.
Thanks to the enormous efforts of Dan Shields...baby Zoe has been found, however
her parents are still out there. Please forgive this disjointed mess as it's
really hard to know what to write and what to say. I know Finn McCools is
gone...Everyone I know so far has lost everything. I am still trying to find out
about my own house on the West Bank in Harvey. I know that a lot of the people
leaving the west bank are looting homes that are still standing. I have been
overwhelmed by the e-mails and response from everyone...I spoke to Tam Donnelly
yesterday and asked if we would kindly co-ordinate any kind of assistance. I'm
kind of still in shock...It will be a few weeks before we really know what is
going to happen...I am being told 12-16 weeks before we can go back. \ I really cant write anymore...Sorry Im just too upset at the moment Hail Hail All Joe PS * BLESS DAN SHIELDS

We ARE a registered CSC and all donations bank accounts and paypal payments will be given and shown to the CSA and Affiliation to ensure that every penny goes to the right place.

Here is the email we sent to the Committee of the New Orleans CSC
    Hail Hail
The Celtic Family would like to send you guys a donation for you to use in any way you feel fit. I have informed the Celtic Supporters Association and The Affiliation of Registered Celtic Supporters Clubs of this and they could not be more helpful. I know we cant do anything much to help the people over there but we can at least try to help Fellow Celtic supporters even if its just to replace a few Scarves and things which may have been lost. PLEASE feel free to use the donation in any way you see fit.. IF you feel you dont want a donation we would be grateful if you would still accept it and give it to anyone you feel could use it. It wont be a lot but we want you guys to know that You'll NEVER Walk Alone

Thank you for your time and we would be grateful if you did not delete this post

Glad to hear that your alright. I hope everyone involved in the disaster will manage to get back to their ways of life as soon as possible. Unfortunatly I am totally skint at the moment and I have to save my money for a deposit that I agreed to paying, but you are all in our prayers and I hope you manage to get back on your feet very soon.
