On paper promising indeed. The bonus for me, presuming they turn out good signings is that they are our players and not loans. Fed up with too many loans needing us to keep replacing at the start of every season leaving us in this position for CL qualifiers.

Definitely, it’s his job that will depend on it.

It’s early days but I think he has the potential to work wonders.

Get him the right players and it could be exciting times ahead.

Sorry my phone won't let me link twitter at the moment

The Gabon Media Times claim that Celtic have made Hatayspor striker Aaron Boupendza their ‘main target’. The Hoops could still do with a new forward as Odsonne Edouard’s future remains in doubt. Boupendza has been added to the Hoops shortlist, after his stunning 20-21 form in Turkey.

Despite being used as a winger in 30 of his 38 appearances during last season, the 16-time Gabon international scored a huge 22 goals. Unsurprisingly, that has caught the attention of numerous European clubs. Lyon, Fiorentina and Watford are all keen – as are Celtic

Some very nice finishing in this video, but also some horrendous goalkeeping, could be Edouards replacement.

Edit: * posted the exact same video as I did :56:

The Australian has made a right-back his top priority and Sheffield United’s Baldock – first linked by Record Sport last month – is at the top of the list.

It remains to be seen if the Blades will play ball and Celtic can strike a deal. Rennes defender Sacha Boey was another option but Baldock is the preferred choice.

Celtic have also asked the question about Nathan Byrne at Derby.

He has also been flagged up by Parkhead scouting staff but Postecoglou has still to give the go-ahead on that move.

Manchester City’s Japanese international defender Ko Itakura is another who Postecoglou is interested in, along with Australian international midfielder Aaron Mooy.

Itakura has just come off a successful loan at Groningen but City have made it clear that they want a substantial fee for any loan, as they have strong interest from several European clubs

    Would love Baldock and Mooy.

If we can get those two we'd be looking pretty good. LB and GK to add and we'd win the league with no issues

Would take Baldock, but I would still like to see us get a taller fullback that is decent in the air (I know that is an unusual trait for a fullback though)

Mooy again I would probably take as he improves the team I think, but it's not really a problem position for us. Given the amount of work we've to do we could spend the money better elsewhere.

Would also take Itakura on loan, with a view to him partnering Starfelt until Julien gets fit again. Welsh as backup.
