This is what absolutely * me about some of you. How are WE ALL smug. I think you’re confusing some of us saying trust us, trust Ange, in the face of some quite vociferous ( near racist ) condemnation of his signing, for being smug!
We fully understand football is centred around Scotland, more so Celtic that you’re the epicentre of the football world . But you guys, it appears, have quite a sheltered view of world football. Or you don’t know how to use Google. So appreciate what we’re saying and the insight we’re giving you. Yes, I agree some of the Aussies have been a bit over the top, but it’s a minority. Should we mark all the Scots on the * comments we’ve heard about Ange, the A League and J League? Fair dinkum, some of you need an uppercut.

TBH i think this is bang on for most fans. This passport stuff is a load of *. The Club are in dire straits after last season & a big name would have looked a better signing because we would have known them. I have not met any fans mostly season ticket holders who are not behind Ange & looking forward to the season. The problem most have is the club still doing the usual * regarding signing players when it's some re build we have. It's now the 4th July & we really haven't singed a first team player

 

Ridiculous comment, frankly. Massive hyperbole.

It’s been said hundreds of times already but it’s not all about Ange here. Our manager left in February, we were led to believe that the incoming manager was all but finalised, with him working away in the background for the massive rebuild that needed to be done.

Had that incoming manager been Ange, I guarantee the reception he would’ve received would’ve been warmer. It wasn’t though. A last minute U-turn meant Ange was brought in, almost entirely out of nowhere as far as Celtic fans are concerned. That isn’t a knock on Ange, but it’s confirmation that we took pretty much no steps to rectify the disaster of last season between February and June. That’s what was met with anger, and Ange was really just getting a bit of flack off the back of that anger.

The Aussie fans need to understand the season we’ve just had. Most of the forum were wanting Lennon sacked in October, everyone wanted him gone at the beginning of January to allow us to start the rebuild in that window. He ended up leaving towards the end of February. The rebuild has just started, through no fault of Anges - but you can hardly blame people for having the rug pulled out from under them and wondering what the * is going on. That’s what the anger is based on. Ange being an Aussie has nothing whatsoever to do with it. Us sitting on our hands for the best part of 6 months does.

I think a lot of us still haven't forgiven youse for giving us Home and Away, Neighbours, the Bee Gee's and Rolf Harris however, I think youse redeemed yourselves a wee bit by giving us wee Kylie and INXS. Hopefully Ange is another one of your better imports. G'd day mate

 

Because you are all hitting out with "told you so" patter, based on a bunch of videos which has given more optimism to fans, smug as * like we are fools for not being instantly optimistic about his appointment. Hardly anyone knows who he is, no-* once said he must be * because he is Australian, his experience has been scrutinized and rightly so, his results will speak for him in time. He might be a gem or he might be out of his depth and that has nothing to do with the standard of football in Scotland or elsewhere, the pressure of managing a club like ours is a lot different from a lot of others, results are demanded, not being 10 plus points behind the leaders like his team was in Japan.

To be fair, rogic had done nothing before he left Australia and he still hasnt. He reminds me of the kind of guy that has tremendous skill pulls on a kit on the weekend but during the week he's a computer tech, not an athlete.
