guys if its true that Fergal Harkin is going to be Dof for Celtic his job is to find the best manager that he thinks will suit CFC as that is his job and he will be judged on that appointment more than any other decision he will make. Harkin is no mug CFG do not employ just anybody they run a very high level organisation with the best in the business steering the ship. having worked closely with Ange he obviously thinks very highly of him and is the best fit for the club. wherever Ange has gone so far he has delivered success, you guys keep going on about other managers that have a higher profile than Ange but that means nothing as im telling you the guys that you have mentioned have nothing on Ange, and if you think the board will have it over this guy and just want a yes man do more research on him because that will NOT be the case. it will take one interview with the board and Ange and he will be interviewing them without them even knowing and if he gets a sense that they will interfere he will simply say thanks but no thanks. he will bring a different level of proffesionalism to CFC, massive on the sports science side and technical analysis and will run the team like a well oiled business and if he senses he wont be able to implement these he wont take the job. he is the most highly regarded manager in all of Asia and there are some massive Eropean and South American coaches there and i know for a fact that the Japanese confederation want him as the NT manager. you guys will take to him once you work out what he is all about....... he is a prickly son of a * though!!

Indeed.. deep down I actually thought and feared slippy would have something and he surrounded himself with a good backroom team.

Will Big Ange be afforded the same luxury?

You are arguing against yourself then because I've never disputed a single thing you just said. All I've said is I think Ange would be a good appointment. Keep up x

Tell you what. It doesn’t matter who gets this job he has a mammoth task on his hands. We have an angry, restless divided support.

Wouldn’t even wish this in my worst enemy. Or slippy.

I think the whole Lenny debacle has left many still feeling angry at the way the season panned out, when there was mention of Howe there was cause for optimism, but the last few days has seen us back to square one, bit of a *.

I think thats fair to say, but before that Australia were sharks in a fish bowl. It might be technically easier that they're in Asia, but I think a big part of that is quality of opposition has improved at the same time of increased interest in the sport in Australia. That's led to better national team who play against better opposition and therefore aren't caught cold by the South Americans who happen to be better than the minnows they can spank 10-0. The move to Asia was fantastic for Australia and I do think people tend to underestimate some of the Asian teams, particularly the middle Eastern teams who tend to be technically pretty sound. Look at Israels ability to be pests for Scotland. Teams like Iran, Saudi, UAE, Qatar and Iraq all prove to be tricky opponents. As for Ange, I think winning the Asian Cup was a great achievement.

This whole situation with Howe has been botched so badly back to square one I think would actually be an improvement at this point.
