    Basically what he said, and that people videoing it are the real issue.

    This absolutely breaks my heart. Neil Lennon as a man and human being is just like any of us. He is made of flesh and blood, he makes mistakes like the rest of us and he will have regrets like the rest of us. He bleeds green like all of us on here.

    If I landed the Celtic job and let down my own in the pinnacle season, if I read headlines, celtic forums calling me names, using words like hate, ego, selfish, *, popcorn teeth etc it would haunt every minute of my existence. To feel like I let down my own enough for them to express regular feelings of hate towards me, especially knowing I give it everything I got, I just wasn't good enough. Really don't think I could cope with that. If I felt like my own had no time for me, disregarded any of the good we shared in the past, It would be more than a few months on the pish if am being honest. It would tear my world apart as am sure it would for many if not most on here.

    This season, it's been terrible. Letting Lennon go was the right decision. Recognising he and the club wasn't good enough this season is all acceptable. Some of the shocking opinions/comments I have heard and read this season though just doesn't sit right with me at all.

    This might be one of those occasions where he has had a few too many, like we all have on occasion. Or this could be evidence that the man is struggling. If he is struggling because he feels abandoned by his own that is horrible. Some (not all) should be ashamed of how they treat our own.

    This man recording this, lowest of the low. Hope the man approaching him at the end let fly!

    Few patsies would’ve kept him right.

    He should know better IMO.

    You don’t know if he’s even working on the champions league or a Europa league game or speaking to someone in connection with some type of work

    I see David Low from the Trust was out with him.

    The more I hear about that guy the more of a fud he seems to be.

    This is the most sickening part for him, he is of course used to the 'other side' calling him all the * * under the sun but to see 'your own' turning on you will have hurt him badly. If you didnt rate Neil Lennon as a manager and wanted him out of the job thats fine but some 'Celtic supporters' were reduced to pathetic personal attacks, as always it was coming from the online cowards who sit on sites like this spouting their bile. For the sake of Neil Lennons mental health I hope he stays off social media, he doesnt need to read the spineless * that has been put on there by people who he would have thought had his back. People may say he only got drunk but there is obvious signs that his mental health is not good and hasnt been for some time. I hope he has people around him that can help him through it.

    As far as TV work goes, last time he was out of a job he was a regular pundit on the CL games on Irish TV. Being recorded getting absolutely mouldy is not going to get you blacklisted here at least :giggle1:

    Sad to see him or anyone else in that state. Alcohol can be one one of the most destructive drugs and I don’t think it does people that have mental health issues, as he does, any favours.

    The most bang on post I've seen yet on the matter. Very well put Stu I'm of the exact same thinking on this.

    I'd go further and say it's a * disgrace how some have seemed to revel in their hatred of the guy. Scummy, arrogant *.

    * bless NL.

    Hope he's okay.

    As well pointed out above he's just a human, whatever thoughts are on his management, does not come into question in this regard.

    * Spot on this.

    The night in here alone on this forum was a * disgrace,let alone Twitter/Facebook and Youtube that night. Some of us were defending the embarassing comments made against him, it didnt mean we were on his side in a footballing manner. His time had come along with the rest,he had * up games,the subs ,the tactics were all over the place,the players were a disgrace in the way they played making it even more difficult on all of us to take.

    Imagine getting sent packages,taking your wife and kid and placing them into hiding,seeing graffiti on the walls of him hanging......for some of his owns fans in the end to * him over and say the * they were stating that night.I only hope hes unaware of that type of abuse on social media that happened that night,doubt it tho.

    He bled this club so much he just couldnt give it up as easy,this was his only downfall. He should have been removed earlier and taken away from all this,and let another manager hopefully take over and get something out of the league.

    Seeing him like this is sad as * and it will only get worse with the rags and the huns kicking about.

    Just hope he finds a light in all this and moves on,i would like to see him back in the studio with Sutty,Petrov etc.

    The bombardment of Lennon out pics on social media were a bit * much to be honest. Disrespectful.

    How else were supporters meant to express their opinions?

    Banners? Disrespectful
    Crowds gathering at Parkhead? Disrespectful
    Social media avatars? Disrespectful

    I don't necessarily blame Lennon for October onwards when it would have been obvious to any board with a semblance of competence that we were a mess.

    The decision should have been taken out of his hands at that point but he certainly didn't help himself with the way he treated fans. He knew his comments were inflaming the situation yet still continued to do it; like saying he was looking forward to the summer rebuild a week before he resigned.

    Added to the fact he downplayed legitimate criticism of early season form as "hysteria"

    Respect is a 2-way street. I can accept Celtic losing to the better team but I won't accept what we seen this season, Lennon included.

    He had zero respect for the Celtic support all season

    Don't let this video recorded by an utter * head retract that.
