The boy Shaw from Sheff Wednesday can play centre mid. Watched a wee bit of his footage the other day. Would have liked to see more, but he got sent aff in the game.:biggrin:

A disappointing end to a less than disappointing career at Celtic for Brown. Has been a big presence in this part of the clubs time.

First player since Larsson left to fully deserve the ‘legend’ status. A word that gets banded around all too often but in this case there’s no other word befitting. Thanks for the memories Broony.

Pretty much what many folks said about Broony when he switched from Hibs.

Announce over the top statue of Brown with heavy 9iar symbolism.

Encase it behind steel beams to stop huns wrecking it.

But make them look at it lol

Broony may have not had his best of seasons this season like most of our players but he has been an excellent leader on and off the park for us over the years. He is leaving a huge hole that is going to take some filling.

Broony was running ring's around us and the Huns as a box to box midfielder for Hibs. A full Scotland international away to the likes of Italy as a 10 but aye, exactly like that diddy Ferguson..

Brown was a completely different player when he was at Hibs compared to what Ferguson is just now. Ferguson is nowhere near good enough.

All the best Scott, go and cut your teeth with the sheep and we will see you back soon.
End of an era and a new chapter for both him and Celtic begin.

All the best to Broony..legend of a player and genuinely had time for the fans.Everyone I know of who has met him says the same,a total gentleman.

Hope he's involved with the club again some day.

He was my favourite player after Henrik :54: From the minute he signed for the club I said that he would be a legend and he sure is. Now I can't think of any player left that I would consider my favourite :54: They're all going to have to work hard to earn that accolade :54:

Sad to see him go because he has given a lot to the club despite the criticism. But I’m glad he isn’t leaving on bad terms because we can’t have that twice in one season. True Celtic captain.

I don’t disagree with any of that.

I’m just recalling the chat about his appointment... and there was plenty of Celtic fans sounding-off at the time about him being a headless chicken who was only good at kicking opponents.

    He proved them wrong.

There was a lot of talent there though..

He had war's with Lennon. Ran ring's around uncle Ferguson and had a different side of his game..

His pace was electric back then also..

    Ferguson has shown nothing whatsoever..

To be fair, the headless chicken thing wasn't too far wrong, he did do a lot of needless daft chasing. He done that up until Lennon took over first time round, then we seen a far better player with very good positional awareness. He has a lot to thank Lennon for in my opinion. The reason Brown has been able to play at the top level is because of Lennon transforming the way Brown played I feel.

Gutted Broony is leaving at the end of this season. I think he deserved to leave the club with a full house at parkhead cheering him on for all the great memories he gave us.
