So if Samaras is *, what does that make the new strikers who all scored less than him in his last full season? Step forward Mpenza, Benjani, Bianchi?

The truth of the matter is that City just don't create chances and like I said previously any striker would have struggled in that shambolic set up.

And for your information Samaras in his first season scored 5 goals in 12 appearances. It was only in the next season where Stuart Pearce started acting a * and playing him out of position or bringing him on as a sub in the last 10 minutes he struggled. Erickson didn't give him a chance and TBH I'm glad the sooner out of that miserable club the better.

this all may be true when your playing for a * team such as rochdale... the bhoy's playing for his boy-hood heroes... you couldnt possibly understand the pride that come with pulling on a green and white hooped shirt!! Paddy does!
WGS doesnt have to do * all... just sit back and watch him develope!

Must say I am not the biggest fan of Samaras but for the money he is not a bad signing. Especially when comparing him to Rangers strikers they have signed (I know not the way to look at it but still....!!) for similar money. My only worry is if Big Jan gets injured, which is possible to be fair, and or McDonald doesn't score at the phenomenal rate he did last season, is Samaras good enough to lead the attack?

I may not be a big Samaras fan, but for 1 million that is a bargain.

Compared to Kenny Miller, Laugherty and Velicka for 6 million, I'd take Samaras over them all. Funny how at one point Samaras alone was worth 6 million, and not a single one of these huns will be able to match that.

Hopefully now Samaras has signed permanently, he will get his head down and start working his socks off. Less lazy and more goals = PERFECT response to all the man city retards!!!!

Also do u think JVoH had a part to play in Samaras's decision? We all saw that they become good pals during the time he was at CP. Or maybe they knew each other before when they were both playing in Holland.

Sammy will do well at Celtic and for any player in this day and age to come to Scotland and take a 1.5 million a year pay cut says lots for his ambition to get away from a mediocre side and to start winning things. Did you see the guys face when we lifted the championship he was in Heaven that is why he has come back to us to be in Paradise where he will develop.

You said earlier about elano not knowing the celtic team who the * cares, there are some of the best footballers in the world who have left Celtic Park knowing all about our guys so who cares what a crappy player in a below average EPL side thinks. you enjoy playing in the lower regions of the Uefa Cup as you will only progress a couple of rounds.

Well, Rochdae 08's just ruined my welcome then. :icon_mrgreen:

To be fair, you must congratulate him. People from Rochdale can't normally read or write.
