can dive 20 meters and eat almost 2kg of Mussels a day!

Went a wee walk on my lunch break down to the wee burn near my work what flies past me at some speed the kingfisher then it landed not far away on a branch next to the water typical no camera as it was raining, heard it before I seen it stunning bird hope I get the chance to get it another time

 

Unlucky Sioux , it's always the way when we don't bring our cameras, at least you know where he fishes now and can be armed the next time you walk down that way, they're speedy wee buggers alright, how they can be pictured in flight is beyond me, we'll keep looking for him Sioux, one day we'll both get award winning pictures of the wee blue *

Thanks John, there was a lot of them around yesterday, I don't know if it's the time of year but they were very vocal and less shy than usual.
