    He's starting to feel the pressure now and a carefully managed in-house interview won't save him face.

    As others have said above, the trip wasn't wrong in hindsight, it was wrong with foresight (see Jolly to Dubai thread pre-trip)

    When your judgement has proven to be so flawed on this and numerous other things then you will now be held accountable. The gravy train is over *, clear your desk.

    You’d think that if there was any connection with the support ... and grasp of action (or inaction) and consequence.... that they would have pulled the plug on it at 4pm on 2nd January..

    But clearly not...

    Not watched it. Don't know if I can be * after seeing some comments on here and in some Whatsapp groups.

    Share Price and Sponsors must not have been happy.

    Right now, Lawwell must be gutted there's no going to be a pyro incident or some other distraction.

    Hindsight is why i rarely comment on what managers should’ve done post-match. Lots of variables, very little certainty, all speculative.

    Going to Dubai wasn’t a mistake in hindsight - it was downright stupid in foresight. Very major club in the UK decided to stay because it was - very obviously - a stupid thing to do.

    The vast majority of this forum didn’t want the team to go because it wasn’t warranted, wasn’t in the sprit of the ‘elite athlete exemptions’ and opened us up to unnecessary risk.

    The lying * is full of * , no remorse and couldn’t give a * about the supporters, how he could have thought it was morally wrong to go on a jolly in the midst of a pandemic, if it was cancelled at the 11 hour you would have gained some credibility with the supporters. The sooner he walks out the doors of paradise for the final time the better .

    At least they are recognising the fury amongst the support now though. That whole interview screamed, we * up but we are still the club you love.

    Absolutely no reason to be saying that unless acutely aware that the mood of the support is one of rage.

    Too little too late though.

    Completely agree. Going to Dubai and hiring Lennon were obviously bad decisions in foresight that most of this forum could see.

    He doesn't give a *. * knows why he's even apologising here.

    Presumably it's because either:
    1. The situation is about to deteriorate further and he's trying to head it off.
    2. He knows getting the angst out now will mean the sheep will renew their books like good little supporters in a couple of months.
    My bet is number 2. His talent is playing this support like a fiddle, and I include myself in that in the past.

    It's over to us now to drive him and the board out. Withhold your cash.

    We steadied out over the summer and covid, took a dip after the Europe shambles, took a few more small peaks and dips in november and december, then notice this last 13 days that sudden drop off...wonder what that is Peter, you absolute cretin of a man.
