The football at the end of Deila's tenure wasn't great, but worth remembering that he had a fraction of the resources available to him than Rodgers or Lennon has had in his second spell.

Got hounded by the press to the point where he looked broken. It didn't work out for him and in the end he wasn't up to it, but he laid the foundation for a lot of the success that we've had.

I actually came on this thread to post about him stepping down.

When Lennon goes he has to go with him. Does he think the fans will forget how he has treated us!

We might not be able to boycott games or have mass protests this season but does he honestly think this will not carry over into next season!

Even if miracles were to happen and we won the Ten or the league was declared Null & Void the fans wont forget he stuck with Lennon despite worst run of results in living memory, ignores fans calls for change and the puts up barriers and pays cops to keep fans from making their feelings known.

And no shareholders or supporters at this years AGM.. the pair of them are so lucky Covid is keeping fans away from them.

Lawwell is a businessman but keeping Lennon makes no sense let alone business sense.

He needs to go. Far too much interference in footballing matters when his job should be nothing to do with the playing side. He has downsized us something awful selling our best players and replacing them with duds and now the currant buns will probably win the treble with a rookie in slippy as manager. How embarrassing

The clubs business model is a complete and utter shambles.

Champions league qualification should be the number 1 priority every year as that then brings success in every area of the club. CL money is 30% of Celtic’s annual revenue. So therefore we have the following if we qualify:

Champions league qualification = more money = better players = more titles

How the club can’t see this is beyond. Our number one priority every year should be to qualify for champions league.

He's asked for strength in adversity, he's asked us to back the team...

How about you do your job and replace the manager?

I cannot believe how far we have fallen in such a short space of time. He will never been forgiven for allowing this to continue.

He was hoping we would beat Ross County and St Johnstone and that would kickstart a run. We are now out of the Cup and further behind in the league.

DO NOT LET THIS SHAMBLES GO ON!!!!!

It's been criminal that we don't get our transfer done before the qualifiers.

We need to get the fundamentals right before we stand a chance of even reaching the group stages.

Those being a manager who isn't shown up tactically, specialist coaching and a competent scouting department. At the moment we have none of those.

    I hate this revisionist stuff.

Deila was and is not good enough to be Celtic manager. We don’t need to revisit it.

Rodgers is the standard we should be shooting for every time.

We must have * all money, because of covid. Or no manager available willing to come to us.

Can't think of any other reason why they would let the club go the way it's going

If Lawwell raffled the chance to toe his balls for charity, I'd buy a ticket right now.

Give it a week and we could outspend Man City.

I’ve heard many anecdotes about Lawwell that he justifies the price of tickets etc. by saying we are paying for a ‘winning team’.

What I’ve taken from that is that Lawwell views the Celtic support as losers. Working class losers that buy a winning feeling from Celtic. To him, that’s the product he’s selling.

This is of course, as any real supporter knows, not true.

Contrary to popular belief, Celtic fans can stomach losing. Anyone who supports a team can, otherwise we’d be those weirdos that don’t follow competitive sport because they can’t take getting beat.

What is disgusting the Celtic support is the way we are losing.

If the support had a voice, we would’ve rightly sacked Lennon a month ago and got the best manager available in.

True - it may not have worked. It might have even worsened the situation. But you know what, we could stomach that, because it would be us that lost it. We would’ve lost together.

Right now, we are observers from the outside, quite literally. Losing is dictated to us my millionaires on a power trip. Losing isn’t the issue, losing like that is the issue.
