Sacking Neil Lennon gives us an immediate 6 point boost IMO.

We won’t win our games in charge with him at the helm but we will with someone else.

Some potential manager must be watching this thinking they could do much better with our players at their disposal.

FWIW to me it seems like the right know we on the left have a weakness for that kind of moral self-righteousness and use it to play us like fiddles at key moments.

What's true in politics is also true at Celtic. Moral posturing about Lenny hands Lawwell bullets to depict us fans as the problem in the media. It's a weakness as it implicitly assumes that you are dealing with good-faith actors, whereas in reality Lawwell et al could give a * how angry we are as long as the money doesn't dry up.

In reality, it underplays the strength of our position. It's enough that we all agree that he has done a bad job this season, bad enough that normally a manager would expect to be sacked. Most folk on here seem to also be of the sincere opinion that he was never good enough in the first place.

Honestly, I think that's enough to hit the board with repeatedly until they buckle. Insulting Lenny's character and appearance and speculating about his motives just seems counterproductive, because it applies pressure to only one of the relevant parties and gives Lawwell et al an excuse not to listen.

We’re not average. We’re rotten. We’ve been scudded off Ross county.

    it cannot get any worse

There are loads of possible explanations. That's not the only possible one.

No, mate. Just thinking that it was a completely dead rubber. In hindsight, I'd probably take a little embarrassment ahead of the league being over. I'm not saying it's ever a good idea to lose a match when you're still in that competition.

I’m just in a state of disbelief.

How have we regressed so quickly?

Why is Lennon still our manager?

    What are the Board thinking?

I just can’t fathom how this is being allowed to continue.

No player under his reign has got better. If anything, they have got worse.

That may be due to not playing for him, but that is for him to sort out. The fact he hasn't is criminal, and he needs removed ASAP.

A real Celtic man, and has went through more than any other manager possibly in history, but this is the here and now. Him, Kennedy, and Strachan need removed.

True ! the squad have been outstanding ! done everything that was asked of them, absolute warriors ....but let down by that xxxx ....Neil Lennon. Celtic ladies have got more balls than half this lot

If I was a potential future manager Id be thinking who the * does their scouting ? and which * thought it was a good idea to give passengers like bitton an improved new 4 year contract ... ? something along those lines actually.

Off the top of my head?

    1) He realises he's screwed up, but he knows the problem and just needs time to fix it.
    2) Lawwell doesn't have a replacement and told him to hang in there until he finds one
    3) He's lost the plot and doesn't understand what is happening and why it's his responsibility.
    4) He's so clueless that he doesn't realise it (the Dunning-Kruger effect).
    5) He's hanging in there for the payoff.
    6) He overestimates his own ability.
    7) He feels it's not his fault (Kennedy's? The players?) and so removing him wouldn't solve the problem.
    8) He's come back from setbacks before and is backing himself to do it again, because he's never been a quitter.
    9) He thinks if he can just hang in there long enough for his wingers to be back available, he can turn it round.
    10) He doesn't know what to do and is trying not to make rash decisions.
    11) He's secretly always been a Hun mole and this was the year when they activated him to stop 10iar.

The reality is that we're all just guessing here. My money's on it being mostly 3 with a dash of 8 FWIW.

I actually feel defeated. The board wont act. We cant get in stadiums, the police threaten arrest if we protest. I just don't have words anymore. It's done. Leagues genuinely over, the dream is gone. I wont fund this board any longer and wont buy a thing anymore.

The players are a BIGGER problem than the manager. I've said it before Klopp couldn't do much with this lot. Their attitudes are stinking. Half of them not good enough to wear the jersey. Whoever takes over is taking over a poison chalice. We need to get rid of the bad eggs

Lennon isn't daft, he will know his time is up here. He cannot honestly believe what he is saying in his post match interviews. He will also know this is probably his last managerial job, because who is going to go near him after this? Ronny Deila left with his dignity in tact, knowing he had took Celtic as far as he could. He wasn't hanging around for a pay off, and he had no prior connections to us. Lennon is supposed to be a big Celtic man but is dragging us into the gutter, and he knows it, but is still sticking around.

I'm really delighted the big lad is not playing currently. He was made a scape goat by a lot of our fans. If you analysed the games there was more problems than just Shayne. Big Virgil would struggle in that team

The same players who won us a treble treble and are a game away from a quadruple treble.
