If Lawwell and Desmond are even slightly contemplating giving Lennon another chance because of what happened after yesterday's match, they should think about the hundreds of thousands of Celtic fans who were not there and who are now desperate for Neil Lennon to be shown the door. Giving him 'one last chance' as a GIUY to a couple hundred people would be the most absurd and unprofessional thing I have ever seen in my time following Celtic.

Thursday (more than likely humping against AC) is an opportunity to heap more unjust, undeserved pressure on Lennon who is on a hiding to nothing, whilst * the fans off further and lowering the morale of the squad further.

There is not one single good reason for keeping NL in charge one more day, let alone 1 more game. It is now the board who are showing their lack of class towards NL. He is a lamb to the slaughter regardless on Thursday.

Tomorrow is the day of reckoning.

Only thing worse than a billionaire is a petty billionaire.

So much wealth and power controlled by individuals flawed like us all.

And this is just football ffs. Terrifying.

Think if I hear the phrase "positive zoom call" again my head might burst, like between the three of them can they not work out that the people who want to see Lennon gone the most are the * players they're relying on to win matches.

BREAKING: Neil Lennon still has the backing of the Celtic hierarchy and will continue as manager, after a series of “positive” Zoom calls throughout the day. They were locked in discussions on his and the club’s future. He took training today and will prepare team for Milan.

Looks as if he is going nowhere...

What a laughing stock of a club.

    * this. They’re quickly alienating the fanbase after such a successful decade.

The sort of amateurish unprofessional set-up that sees a club going from a turnover of 100m down to 40m in the space of two years.

Well, i've tried to stay positive but it looks like he's staying, hopefully I wake up tomorrow and he's finally * off. If not, my last hope is they'll use a pumping off of Milan as an excuse to sack him.

Neil Lennon's future will be discussed over the next 48 hours - but there is every chance the embattled Celtic manager will take charge of the side against AC Milan in Italy on Thursday.

Sunday’s 2-0 reverse to the Ross County in the last 16 of the Betfred Cup saw Lennon’s team relinquish their grip on the domestic honours after four years and extend a dismal sequence of results to just two wins in 10 games.

The loss, the fourth in succession at Celtic Park, sparked angry demonstrations outside the ground with hundreds of fans gathering to demand the manager’s sacking.

Lennon’s future will be part of a debrief with Dermot Desmond, the club’s largest shareholder, and chief executive Peter Lawwell ahead of the trip to Milan.

But Parkhead sources insist there is no suggestion of a change being made at this juncture - despite the growing clamour for time to be called on Lennon’s second spell in charge.

Last week, Lennon said he felt he had the unequivocal backing of the board and barring a radical and unexpected departure from that position, he will still be in the dug-out in the San Siro on Thursday for the penultimate Europa League game.

Irrespective of the result on Northern Italy, speculation surrounding the 49-year-old’s future seems only set to continue.

Although scheduled to face Hearts in the delayed Scottish Cup final later this month, a match that could see him become just the fourth manager in Celtic’s history to complete the Treble, the former skipper’s position is under intense scrutiny.

Having been knocked out of the Champions League at the second hurdle by Ferencvaros, his side were eliminated from the Europa League with two games yet to play.

Already 11 points behind Rangers in the title race, albeit with two games in hand, Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to County was a trigger point for many to call for a change at the helm.

    Lennon is a disgrace too.

Couldn't get away quickly enough first time round when he thought he was better than the club and Scottish football, now leeching off the club because he knows he'll never get a better job. He's no Celtic man. That myth can be put to rest now.

    Agreed.

Putting his pockets before the club he supports. Shameless.

If he has any dignity he’d walk.

    “club he supports”

he’s a * mercenary. Always has been, always will be. He needs to * off before things get a lot more toxic than they already are.

If that's their decision then 200 could easily be 2000 for the game against St Johnstone.

They can count themselves lucky the AGM is virtual this year or there would have barneys at that too.

I think they're seriously misjudging the mood in the camp if they think this is a minority or that supporters are going to back down.

We live in a world where the 26 richest individuals have more wealth than half the worlds poorest population... 2 billion

    26 people ....
    have more $$$$$ than 2,000,000000

...and football probably has has less morals than world business as a whole.

    * Neil Lennon by the way.

    * has absolutely rode us for dosh, he could have walked away with dignity after the Aberdeen draw and everybody would be behind him, he could have left after the first Sparta pumping and most people would still be behind him

Instead, we lose 2-0 at home to Ross County, a game in which they * DESERVED to win, and he clamours on about how he can still change it around and refuses to quit?

Some Celtic man, Ronny Deila realized he wasn't up for it and said he would leave after the huns beat us, funny that.
