you know whats gonna happen dont you broonies gonna get left out and were gonna lose

and lenny will be vindicated and broony will be giving it see my legs arent gone

theres not room for sickening sentimentality in football

how * bad must that lad connell be who played half a season in the championship at left back which on the strength of got him his move to us if he cant get a sniff when our left backs hve been pish this season or is it a case of not wanting to write off taylor ?

or maybe neil thinks with our possession of the ball we really are playing well

just aint in anyway enjoyable watching celtic at the moment and it looks to be fair that the players arent enjoying it either

lawell you * your not off the hook either if the manager and players need help thats your fricken job, get it sorted

Can we stop acting like this is a team of novices that needs Brown to hold their hands through games as an excuse for him still getting played because he’s the managers favourite?

He’s the player they’ll be targeting in a few weeks time.

This stuff about the players looking to him is birthday caird pish. I’m sure they all respect him. But they are adults, playing at a fairly high level. They can look after themselves.

He is holding us back right now. And I’d be stunned if the rest of the team aren’t thinking the same thing.

He's not proving himself to be the leader or the guy that drives us forward on the park anymore though that's the problem, it might have been true in the past but that's a narrative that we can't keep clinging to when he's just not performing. And as far as the huns go, I don't think they'd fear playing against this Brown at all, when other 'lesser' teams we've come up against so far have breezed past him at times like he's not even there, him being an automatic starter based on previous times he's taken the game to them seems like a disaster waiting to happen on current form.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but the more games we play and him not showing signs of improvement, it's getting to the wishful thinking stage.

If we look at that team last night and they all played in there natural positions we wouldve had 6 Cmids Brown Calmac Christie Ntcham Ajer Bitton thats fkn madness we have a squad that have good players in every position possible but we shoehorn players in every week now . Use our squad Lenny and play them in there positions its not fkn hard

I take your point but Ajer and Bitton aren’t centre mids. One hasn’t played there consistently for years, and the other....I’m not sure he ever has for us.

Finding it extremely alarming how we have started this season. We look nowhere near ourselves so far. The one shoot of hope was the Ross county game. Apart from that it's been stale, slow, boring and let's be honest error ridden. What is more alarming, with the exception of barkas for Forster I would say we have strengthened overall. Ajeti and Duffy look superb additions. So we got to ask. What has changed so drastically since the lockdown. I don't think Lennon has become a bad manager during lockdown but then I don't think we can put our poor form down to not having the fans. I hate doing it because the man is the hero but the biggest change I can see is in broony. He is not the same player as he was prior to lockdown. He deserves all the respect in the world for what he has contributed to Celtic over the last decade but for me it's time. I watched him last night and again he wasn't awful but he contributed very very little. It seems that's been the case since the start of the season too. It nearly feels like we are going 3 at the back to accommodate Broony in the midfield now too.

I maybe we'll wide of the mark, our form may indeed have nothing to do with the decline of Broony. If I am then fair enough but we need to find out why it isn't clicking and we need to find out quick. As I say, the standard of performances since we come.back has been extremely alarming

Yeah was just trying to say we have plenty of players who can play in there natural positions and to use them . We all know Taylor and Forrest are not Lwb or Rwb so dont play them or change the formation if he thinks they are the only options they are getting dogs abuse for playing in positions that they are not cut out to do

There’s definitely a theme of us trying to fit square pegs into round while at the moment. Feels like he’s trying to pick the XI he wants and make a system around it, rather than find a system that works and pick the players that fit it.

Started reading his post match interview and I think it was the second sentence where he said we played really well or whatever. Didn't bother reading any further. Sums up my feelings on him at the moment.

Imagine dedicating 20 years of your life to your club. Going through bullets in the post, attacked in and out stadiums. Hated and called a * * by every other club up and down the Land.
To your own support calling you a *, Alcky, the pressure is getting to you and calling for you to be sacked because the team is grinding out wins.

If you want to see someone buckle under pressure let's sack a manager that's won every domestic trophy since returning and replace him with Deila, Jack Ross, Steve Clarke or some German ex Huddersfield Manager.

You's expect loyalty and Boo players like Boyata but turn on your own when we are going through a tough patch.
Players like Edouard not giving a * will be having an impact on the squad but I suppose that's Lennons fault too.

It's hard to filter through genuine posts, trolls and The hundercover on here but there's a large number of you's that are fickle as *.

The comments from @McGuire regarding duff are probably spot on.

Lennon first came in afte Rodgers walked out late in a season, the football was dire, pedestrian and a continuation of the * we had endured for 18months previously under Rodgers.
Sure the results kept coming in, but every game was a risk and just waiting for the collapse.

Duff came in a month or so before Lennon, but initially as a reserve coach.
When made permanent duff also made the step up to first team coach permanent and it was clear that everyone started to work to a new system and manager.

Queue last season, duff is praised by everyone and anyone, he leaves during lockdown and we get greeted to this nonsense now.

Timing wise, it kind of fits that duff very well had a good influence on this side, but he can't have been the only one, the rest of them need to pull something out their * and quick.

As much as I like to laugh at the Huns and plan what could be a funny month, they could get pamped out of Europe and beat by us, their season could be over.
Equally same could he said for us as well and that's a worry, we could easily get pamped out of Europe, lose the the Huns, with a game in hand the season is not quite over, but the season looks very very bleak at that stage.

All if, but, and maybe. But end of the day what do we do if that happens? And why are we in a position to seriously worry about that?

Also begs the question - what does Strachan bring to the table? We haven’t exactly looked great since he arrived.

I do worry that there’s a degree of nepotism at the club, which is never a healthy thing. Yes, we should be looking at developing our older players into coaches, but the coaching aspect should always be prioritised over club connections.

Ultimately we can dominate Scottish football using nothing more than spending power, but if you ever want a club to punch above their weight, then having a top level back room team is the way forward.

    Completely agree.

Never even knew Strachan was a coach before we was linked to him, not always a bad thing, but not always a good thing either.
Sounds more like a tedious link to the club via his dad got him the gig, easy enough move for all parties.

As much as I hate the rat these days, bringing him in initially was one of the best things we have done as a club in the last 17 years now.
It showed intent, it brought in a much higher calibre of coach to the club and changed everything.

We took a massive step backwards in a lot of respect when bringing Lennon in - that's not a dig at the man - in that he isn't of the same stock.

£2.5million on Rodgers is night and day compared to what you get when you spend £500k-1million on a Neil Lennon.

Did Strachan not get the job through Kennedy? I'm sure they done their badges together.

Would make it worse in my mind then, job for the boys/pals rather than actually searching for a real coach with real experience.
