It's bizzare as we have the 2 most gifted player's in the country at recieving the ball under pressure/tight spaces in McGregor and Ntcham who can absolutely pass out or turn a press..

We really aren't a good long ball side so we have to stop trying the aimless punting..

We've got pace and good technical player's for a reason..

Would score more if he lifted more of his shots over the goalkeeper. Should have been on a hat-trick tonight.

Pretty poor game really, 3 chances to score and only took one also really dissapointing at long balls offers absolutley nothing, even if the ball is coming from the 18 yard box and is landing in an area with 15 yards of him he makes no attempt to go for the ball or even to put off the opposition player just hangs back hoping they miss it giving up easy headers as it's never once happened in about 100 games now.

If he wants to reach the next level he has to make an attempt to challenge and get on to long balls or at least don't just passively stand and watch.

4 very good chances...1 goal. I'd have liked if hed at least came away with 2 out of that.

Still our classiest player. Evident they fear him.

Yip, it was so frustrating watching him not even make an attempt to put the defenders off tonight, was happy just to let them take a run & jump on him.

Aye I'm no gonna bash what is a potential world class young striker who has it all but a couple of things he could definitely improve on..

Does seem to give up on challenges, particularly in the air. Basically gets out the way and gives the defender a free header away. Just that bitof pressure can lead to a mistake or the defender panicking and punting it out..

Sometimes he could put the laces through it as well. I love how composed he is but sometimes it can be easily read that he'll bend it with the right foot. Just for variation..

Big man is class in a glass, but * has he been playing at recently with this Morelarse v Celtic impersonation with missing chances/sitters.

Mind you not as funny as Morelarse trying to be Ed with the hand wrap and playing like he's against Celtic, lol.

Man is total class, we will be half the team without him when he leaves.

Eddy is so cool though ...his goal scoring touch will just naturally reappear.

His finish was sublime, gk did make a great save with his feet for one, but should have had more.

For me Edouard has never been good in the air, it isnt his game. He jumps with the defender but doesnt fully challenge. He is relatively tall but his strength is getting the ball facing a player up and his movement.
i think his perfect strike partner would be a target man who could do that side of the game.

did ok but my biggest complaint is that he takes too many touches, Griffiths played him some long ball and instead of one touch and bang, he took a second, third and fourth and lost the ball. the couches need to work on his ability to strike a ball as quickly as possible. I know he's got 26 goals but he could have 40 if we can get him firing as quickly as possible.

Definitely does, always tries to beat too many men or pause and drag the ball back onto another foot when he could shoot. Needs to become a bit more greedy and instinctive.

Griffiths set him up a couple of times today, seems that even though Griffiths is the natural finisher it's always him who plays in Edouard and sets him up yet Edouard the natural playmaker and dribbler hesitates too long and takes the extra touch and Griffiths gets nothing back from him.
