As the title suggests, is this one of those games where Dermot Desmond steps in?

Obviously before the manager was the one needing replaced, but will Dermot bankroll the signings required to secure 9 in a row?

I doubt it, he didn't seem to do anything last time we lost a league game. What's different about this one?

Can’t argue with the couple of responses so far, this just seemed to be our only hope when discussing in the pub. I’d tend to agree with the posters above, which ultimately worries me but time will tell.

The brutal truth is if Desmond was * bent on securing the ten Lenny wouldn't be in the dugout. We could and should be light years ahead of these *

See tbh this is probably the most accurate, I love Lenny but for me whilst he was the man I wanted at the helm to win 10, I never trusted he could do it. He was the last manager to lose the bleague to them and for me losing the 2 deserters Rodgers and Tierney is possibly the thing that's tipped it to their favour, we have neglected improving the squad and in under 2 years they have more or less caught up with us.

How have we neglected improving the squad?

El Hamed, Jullien, Forster, Frimpong and El Younoussi are all improvements on what we had in their positions.

Problem is I don't think that they get it...........how important it is to fight in every game against Sevco. Forster yes he's been here before and still gives his all for us. We have a lot of lightweights who play well when things are going their way. We also have players that seem to hide in games against them....Forest and McGregor. We're becoming like a group of individuals rather than a team when we play them. We look for a bit of magic from Eddy, Christie or mikey but without the service coming to them or them looking for it we're not seeing it. Sevco are physical and are becoming fairly good at the basics. We seem to be better technically but lacking in real physical presence. I honestly don't know what we need to do to beat them. When the match began all of us to a man/woman thought that was a good strong team. Now I'm revising my opinion of just how good we think we are.

If we are serious about 10 we need to sign players in January that will make the Huns * themselves. Dermot needs to tell Lawwell to make the money available.

They’ve been slowly progressing for years but it’s a bit embarrassing at how quick the gaps closed. 10 in a row looks at major risk and that should never be the case given how far we have been ahead of them on and off the pitch.

Only way he’d step in would’ve been if we had lost by a few in the final and then lost today

The huns definitely have the upper hand now. No point denying it.

This transfer window will win the title.

We don't have a great history in January.
