But I don't care about any of them...

 

Seems to be a common theme that whoever has slighted the Green Brigade or their somewhat "strong political stance" faces their wrath through some sort of banner on match day or prickly statement on social media..be it manager, player, supporter (who may have a different viewpoint to there's), board member etc.

Sorry Rod but they don't speak for us all. Club is open to all (yes, even you the green brigade).

Might not all agree with each others views on politics but in the stadium everyone support and pushes the team on so telling someone to * off for not supporting your views is nothing short of an embarrassment .

There's 50 odd thousand Celtic supporters go to every home game, all with different political views and opinions. Why alienate supporters with different views. It's needless.

It's fine to be disinterested in politics but that doesn't mean that all other supporters have to be similarly disinterested.

Our football club is a direct consequence of politics, it would almost certainly not exist in its current form without them. We stand for something and that's what sets us apart.

Who said they felt strongly about the banner? & anyway do u spend all your day out in public booing at people in the street or challenging everything/everyone u disapprove of, nah of course not. I, myself was expressing my views on a topic regarding the club.

For me there's a difference between being political and telling people to * off bcos of their politics but maybe I'm just less intolerant.

 

Think it might be the full Tory cabinet.

You're talking about something that started over 130 years ago....things can change.

 

Are you completely plugged out of reality?

Literally millions of people are still having to rely on the benevolence of individuals in order to put food on the dinner table...the very reason our club was founded for.

 

What I find embarrassing is that the support will be asked to contribute more food for foodbanks and will do so, while a millionaire musician who claims to support us takes time out of his jetset lifestyle to tweet a congratulations to the guy who is going to ensure that is the case.

That's what I find embarrassing.

Maybe he can redeem himself by contributing to the next one.

 

Change it and my opinion might change but until then....I don't wanna talk about it..

 

Ye might like the team but how can you be a fan while * in the face of everything the club stands for?

Every one of those fines is political.

But how do things change ? I would go out on a limb and be fairly confident they don't change through folk that go to the football and can just completely divorce themselves from politics. Those sort of people don't force change imo.
