Does anyone think that Petrov has done an excellent job out on the right wing...very out of position. Put him in the centre of midfield and he will play even better. FFS GS, play him here he should be played. As for Lenny, I think now is the time for Naka-Petrov in midfield, when Lenny is suspended. I think that a more pacy midfield is essential. As for the right wing...McGeady is ok....not had great form of late, but with Petrov supporting beside him, I think he would get better with more games.

I agree with some ppl on here, Hartson is slow, but running in behind is not his game, he is great at holding the ball up and getting that flick on. If we are to play John, we need someone beside him who understands his game and can run of him. All Zuraw does is come deep and go wide, which leaves John on his own. I also agree that Maloney and Beattie deserve more game time, but I think that Beattie is better being used as a sub, so when he comes in, he can bully and run rings round tired defenders.

Lets play to our strengths, not weaken the team unnecessarily..ie, Petrov on the right and Beattie starting.

Maybe Hartson is big, fat and lazy
    but
    1. He scores
    2. He scores
    3. He scores
    4. I love to watch him crushing defenders like pawns on a chessboard.
So he's very good at doing what he's supposed to.

So he should play on his position that is as central midfield.

I agree. Beattie deserves another chance and I think he'll get it.

Yep...* the defensive midfield, if we can't sort out our defence, lets make sure and score more goals than the opposition. And anyway, Lennon is too slow to be tracking back all the time and chasing after the oppositions midfielders. Yes, he is a great servant to Celtic, but too slow.
Petrov can do both, but not from the right wing.

Well said bro petrov gets back and does his share of defending i don't have the stats but he's probably the most fouled player in the SPL which says it all.

If you believe the way to play is to hit high balls for BBJ to flick on (which when won could go anywhere and 90% plus result in us losing the ball) you must have been locked in solitary confinement of your local HMP for the past 20 years. Perhaps we should sack GS and appoint Graham Taylor or Jack Charlton. As for holding the ball up, get real, he has a touch like an elephant, he couldn't lace Suttons boots.

Nope..I never mentioned anything about hitting high long balls to John. I said that he is good at getting flick ons, like from corners and free kicks, and when the ball gets passes to him from the middle of the park, he has the ability to hold up the ball and play others into the game. IMO he is better at this than Chris Sutton.

As for lacing Suttons boots, I believe that Chris is old enough to lace his own!

If you believe BBJ is a better hold up player than Chris Sutton I would seriously question your footballing knowledge, but you are entitled to your opinion no matter how flawed it may be. I would agree with you on BBJ's ability at set plays but unfortuneately we try to use his aerial ability far to much from open play. As someone who goes week in/ week out I find this makes for a entertainment rating of zero (at £25 a pop you want some decent football).
