I would love Celtic to sign this guy on a permanent deal. Not sure how realistic that is but he would be a great signing.

If hes interested that price is a no brainer. Some of the Eddy/KT put towards the fee and Sinclair's wage can go towards paying him.

Can’t see us bidding £6m for a keeper who’ll be 32 year old come the end of the season.

Give them that. Two players who will make a huge difference next season.

Celtic have been told by Southampton it will cost up to £10million to sign Mohamed Elyounoussi on a permanent deal, Football Insider can reveal.

The winger, 25, has been a big impression at Parkhead since joining the Hoops in August on a season-long loan.

A Celtic source has told Football Insider that the club have been in contact with the Premier League club about what it would take to land Elyounoussi full-time.

Southampton value the left-sided attacker, who they signed from Basel in the summer of 2018, at between £8-10million.

That price would seal a deal, although Saints’ willingness to sell could change if Ralph Hasenhüttl is sacked as manager.

The Scottish champions are eager to convert the Norway international’s temporary deal into a permanent one after his fine start to life in Glasgow.

But the source explained that their hopes of securing Elyounoussi beyond this season depend upon price.

Celtic do not have the budget of the majority of Premier League clubs and have to operate within strict financial parameters.

Elyounoussi has scored seven goals and supplied six assists from 12 matches for Celtic, establishing himself as the first choice on the left side of the attack.

This comes after he struggled to make an impression in his debut Saints campaign.

He made 19 appearances for his parent club, 11 of them in the starting XI, and failed to register a single goal or assist.

If we could get him for £10m, then get it done.

Would be good business for a 25 year old. Give him a 4 year job and see how the land lies when 10 in the bag

If it’s true, I’d be putting in a bid just now and getting it secured. Then we can negotiate a price for Forster with them.

Reported £65k per week wages, bit of a stumbling block.

£10m is a no brainer. But as mentioned wages could be the tricky part.

If the rumour is correct that we have opened a dialogue then that in itself is very promising indeed.

Pretty sure he is looking at a 40% pay cut as soon as Saints relegated, so that would move closer to our pay cap.
Those European nights must be worth something.
