Anybody mind of playing "Moshy" 3 holes in the ground about 3 yards apart. You played it with pennies. First venture into gambling I think.

I gret the face off my wee Maw to get me monkey boots and a Harrington jacket for my birthday one year.

She got a £10 Caledonian cheque (a bit like provident cheques) and on my birthday I opened my presents to find a pair of boots that Herman Munster would have worn and a big daft duffle coat. She said these would be better for me and keep me warm and my feet dry.

My birthdays in May.......who needs a duffle coat and big daft ski boots in May. Plus you could get seriously beat up wearing stuff like that in early 70's Easterhouse.. * I miss that wee wummin :56:

Yeah I just stumbled on the thread yesterday and suddenly all the wee things that kept me happy came flooding back :56:I enjoyed all those pursuits at the time and it's good to reminisce. It was a time of innocence when there was no internet to corrupt. Kids grow up too fast now and it's all out there now with regard to *, * and * knows what. * my idea of being nawty was sneakily reading a Mills and Boon bodice ripper in the back of the library :52::56:

In school we played pitch and toss, had to flick a coin and get it closest to the wall, some hustlin * at it too.

When I was about 5 or 6 Dr Who & The Daleks were the big thing and no such thing as costumes so I had my Ma make me my very own Dalek suit with a sink plunger for the weapon.

Didn't get to keep it long though Ma wasn't too impressed when I went to all the Hun neighbours yelling "EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE" :52:
