    Haven't seen those since the early 70s. We made our own amusements then. We had long games of miner's strikes, teacher's strikes, dock strikes.... then we came home and watched a plastic stork dipping into a glass of water. Such fun.

    remember in winter houses had icicles 3 and 4 ft long hanging from the gutters , never see that now .

    Honestly going back to late 70s onwards we never had that bad of weather for icicles until about 10 years ago. And it’s not that I didn’t notice because used to see it on tele and wonder why we didn’t get it. Different story out in the country I’m sure.
