    Not sure how to feel about this.....how do we spend 7 million on a guy who is not fit/good enough for the first team......look how quickly griff got back to playing games and building up his fitness.

    I do agree that Julien should have been match ready a lot quicker, but Griffiths was back training for months before he was reintroduced to firstly the squad, and then the first team.

    Whatever way you look at it, having the big man on the bench and not on the park in our biggest game of the season so far, is a total shambles.

    I don't even buy all this gettin up to fitness excuse tbh.........

    He was also away from the game much much longer than this guy.....my understanding was all this guy had was his summer break like most footballers and when he came to us it was a case of starting his pre season fitness.....he must be ready for games by now....maybe not 90mins but come on to * celtic.

    Boli had no fitness issues, so it's clear that Lenny dosen't think he's up to the job, this has to be a major concern as we've just paid 3 mil for the guy.


    As a result of this Lenny made the fatal mistake of moving CalMac out of MF, don't think Boli or CalMac will be too happy with Lenny tbh.

    I'm critical of how slowly we do our business and how it impacts them getting upto speed for the qualifiers but we acted quickly on Julien and he's been at the club for 7 weeks now. There's no reason he shouldn't have been match fit and ready for this.

    I suspect it was a tactical blunder rather than him being unfit. Even more frustrating is the manner in which we lost the goals with crosses given Julien had the 2nd best aerial stats in the French League last season. Grim.

    Celtic signed Julien on the 28th of June. He had almost 6 weeks to get fit. I think he could have played that game.
    The point i was making is that these signings were made to get us through these games. Whoever scouted Boli seen enough of him or seen something in him to suggest he was worth £3m

    I dont think that having Mcgregor at left back was what cost us the tie, more of a contributing factor.

    It's the bigger picture though that is the concern, the fact that Lenny felt the need to do it, we should by now have at least 2 players competing for the LB position.

    We've had all summer to get our work done regarding transfers, but as usual we are slow as a week in the jail, with the manager drip feeding the usual bullshit about how we are working hard behind the scenes etc etc.......

    Supporters are gettin sick of it, we deserve better than this.
