MJ: "We’re not sure of the team yet but we can hopefully get the job done and hopefully I can get some minutes

MJ: "There’s a lot that we can get out of it, people getting game time, we want to get the job finished. It’s a tough place to come but we have a job to do

MJ: "It’s always going to be tough at a big club like Celtic. There are loads of players dying to get in and it’s up to us on the pitch to prove ourselves. I just try to take things day by day, work hard and hopefully I can get my chances

Early days of course but Johnston seems to have a bit more of an eye for a goal then McGeady did.

Does anyone else think Johnston is vastly overrated ? Posted twice missing at Castle Greyskull, and at the Cup final. Has been subbed a few times now and Lennon wasn’t happy with his fitness levels. Seems to do the Sand Dancing routine around the ball without it coming to much. I don’t get the hype and with another lacklustre performance he’s prob back in line in the pecking order

And played as a striker in the other. Both in horrendous team performances.

Like Ntcham of late, I just can’t see what he brings to the team - he’s not been any better than Sinclair of late just sayin !!

I’d have said that swipe at him would have had more weight behind it but for the fact he was excellent tonight.

He’s young, he still has end product to add to his game but if Damien Duff says he couldn’t lace his boots that’s good enough for me. Must feel like a giant hearing that from a left winger as good as Duffer was at his best.

He’s heading in the right direction without a doubt.

Aye he was that bad he had 3 or 4 on him when he got the ball, was felled more than once because they couldn't cope with the speed of him. This wee bhoy is very special. My only fear is someone will really hurt him and he really needs to beef up a bit. Mind you being lightweight might be the reason for him being so quick of foot.

His great strength is speed, he'll get by players because HE is FASTER than them wins free kick's, i mean he took a head knock and got up,beefing up will lose speed.

Mikey Johnstone should be playing a lot more games this year as should Ewan Henderson. Do I think he should be our first choice LW just yet? No I don't. I definitely think we need another LW to replace Sinclair. I've said before I would love to see a bit of money spent on that position. To slag the boy off is just ludicrous.

I think rather than replacing Sinclair with someone else he is actually a good foil to Johnston and bringing in number 1 LW would potentially stump his progress as he would get less game time and I think the experience of scotty who brings goals to the team along with game time for Arzani and Shved on the left would be enough in that position.

Feel Johnston could be a really exciting prospect this year with his quick feet and pace could have a similar impact to paddy Roberts especially if he is left one on one with the fullback. Front 3 should be creating a lot of chances this season as they can’t double up on them all as the lack of balance towards the end of last season due to Rogic/Christie injuries and lack of form on the left had us very unbalanced meaning teams swarmed around Forrest towards the end of last season.
