Slated him for no grafting enough but since he's came back it's noticeably improved..

Grafting and has a real telepathic understanding with a few player's now. Can tell he enjoys playing with Christie, McGregor and Johnston..

Only person he didn't have it with funnily was Griff (understandably). Few time's Griff had wee flicks and stuff for Edouard to run on to but he wasn't in tune with him..

Thought his link up was excellent..

Looks like I was watching a different game :giggle1:

I'd just like to see him get on the end of things in the box

Played well. Was really wanting him to get a goal to cap it off.

I agree with the last part.

Its probably one of my few gripes with him. Doesn't have that natural instinct at times...yet. Which is strange as in front of goal hes cool af.

His ball control and dribbling is incredible, still needs to work on his positioning in games but that's a minor gripe.

I want to see him being more ruthless and burying away more chances. I expect him to score more against opposition such as tonight.

I feel like he plays more like a 10 or a wide forward coming in off the channel with the ball, and it makes me think that we still might need the more traditional, poacher type no.9

Thought his lay-off was good and he did a power of work off the ball.

Thought he was excellent, the last 10-15 mins his touch was a bit off and lost the ball a few times though, but his layoffs were superb all night.

Best he’s played for us without scoring, and tbf was some save the keeper made from his dead ball chip attempt

Seems a bit hungrier overall imo

Was like watching a different edouard last night. He has always had class on the ball for us but he was always pretty lazy looking ie without the ball but last night he hardly stopped running

The way he takes the ball away from defenders with his first touch is excellent, thought he was good last night.

See the thing is, his approach has got him quite a few goals as well. Hanging off players around the edges, it’s just frustrating because you want to see him throwing everything at it.

See I don't get him either. I keep wondering what we paid all that money for as he still looks very much like a project at times. I keep hoping that I will see what everyone else seems to be saying. If you gave me a choice I would play Griff before him. Seems a likeable fella and does something special every now and then but that's all I see :43:

All about opinions, mate. I genuinely think he has more raw talent than any Celtic striker since Larsson (even Dembele). He's definitely behind where Dembele was at his age, so maybe I'm wrong.

FWIW I personally believe (with no evidence whatsoever TBF) that Rodgers just didn't work as hard as a coach in his last 18 months. I don't think Edouard got the same level of coaching as Dembele got. I don't have any evidence for that, I'm not privy to our training; but there's a whole lot of evidence that Rodgers stopped giving a * about other aspects of his job that we do know about, so my belief is at least plausible.

The good thing is I'll soon know. If my belief is correct about Rodgers, I'd expect Eddy to make massive strides under Lenny this season. Based on last night, perhaps he already is.
