It is a serious thread mate! Have you read the first post ?
Because its a serious thread looking for news writers for the Forum, its probably best not to post on grammar any more.
Apologies for starting it off. No more posts from me.

Yes i realised it was a serious thread and i submitted my "story" forthwith. But may i reitterate that, although it was labelled a "serious" thread,i believe most of the forum would have submitted their essays with their tongue firmly lodged in their cheek.(facial)

Federer had been training secretly at Celtic's new Lennoxtown training complex just outside Glasgow and has for many years been highly regarded on the pro-am charity football circuit. He can play equally well in centre midfield or up front and has longed to get a chance in professional football since dominating the tennis world.
Federer has revealed that his Chezckoslovakian father introduced him to The Hoops after Celtic played Dukla Prague in 1967 and was impressed by their cavalier style of play. Ever since he has grown to love Celtic and admits it is beyond his wildest dreams to get the chance to pull on the hooped shirt. 'Even if it's only once' he said, 'that would be good enough for me. I only wish my father was still here to see this'
Peter Lawell admitted this move will generate enormous publicity for the club outwith the normal football channels but insists it is the player's football ability that has brough him to Celtic Park on trial and not his commercial pull. 'Gordon has been having him watched for some time and keeping us up to date with his progress. He decided the time was right to make our move and we are all absolutely delighted that Roger has accepted our offer of a trial'
Strachan commented 'Already wee Lennon has challenged him to beat Rangers 40-love!!!'

The world's of both Tennis and Football are in shock today following the news that former tennis world number one Roger Federer has retired from the sport and is set to be given a trial with Glasgow Celtic Football Club.
Federer is said to be deeply upset due to his inability to win on any surface other than grass and so has decided to switch to a sport played solely on the green stuff. As a man renowned for his exemplary grace and exceptional sportsmanship, Celtic, who are also held in high regard for such values was an obvious choice of club for Federer to begin his new career.
One of the biggest hurdles for the Swiss could be if he selected to take penalties or free kicks for Celtic as there is no second chance in football unlike the 'second serve' in tennis. However, Federer is apparentley hoping to work closely with Celtic's own free kick expert Shunsuke Nakamura in attempt to overcome this problem.
Some experts are puzzled as to why Celtic would be interested in signing Federer, a man with no previous footballing experience. A source from inside the club claimed that manager Gordon Strachan is simply delighted to have the opportunity to sign any Swiss sportsman who is not injured, following his repeated failed attempts to capture injury prone forward Alexander Frei.

You have to go through a special ritual if you get in...Not saying what it is but you will be walking like John Wayne for the next couple of days.

And here comes the conspiracy theorist with absolutely no evidence to support his claim! No surprises there! :bbpd:
