    I do!

His miserliness has contributed to abortive European campaigns, which could have been worth tens of millions of pounds; our absence from the Champions League harms our brand image, and our standing in the game, and makes it more difficult to attract top coaches, managers, and players - and sponsors.

He failed to consider other candidates for the most recent managerial appointment (or in other words, he neglected to do his job). How shrewd of him!

How much more profitable would the club be if it were to employ first-rate coaching staff for the first team and the youth academy, and create a fit-for-purpose scouting network?

Our squad is bloated, and imbalanced, and our wage bill is astronomical. Yet again, we are entering Champions League qualifiers with a makeshift defence!

How much of the profits from player sales has been wiped out, improvidently reinvested in players who have contributed nothing? We have failed to build from a position of strength, time and time again.

How much did the empty seats cost us?

We have massive potential; Lawwell and his friends are failing to fulfill it. The sooner they leave, the better.

More like realism everyone has a price don't make group stages of C.L. Then a player will be sold they say they don't budget for C.L. money but they sell assets if we don't qualify have seen Celtic take one step forward then two steps back since the eighties a company well run with a big bank balance and should be out of sight of the other spfl teams but we aren't that far ahead that could be down to complacency at the top of the house

Ajer, had a season long loan so that throws his appearances out a bit.. but he’s more than competent.

Simunovic was excellent towards the end of the season but aye it’s difficult to rely on him.

1 RB and 1 CB required sharpish..

Another RB, CB, LB and ST before window closes.

Really * me off that we're basically in this situation cause of Lawwell and Rodgers bickering like a pair of schoolgirls.

Not that I would want the rat to sign any more defenders on our behalf, but January we got 2 forwards on loan and a striker who hasn't yet made an impact. No defenders brought in, even though we knew Lustig, Izzy, Boyata and Benkovic would be off.

Completely preventable but here we are with nobody even close to signing, let alone being bedded in before the 1st round.

It is frustrating but I honestly can’t remember a transfer window / season gone by where it hasn’t been. This is what we signed up for as Celtic fans. We move on.

Hoarding millions or spreading it out among share holders ,disco lights, rotating screens selling all our best players ain't what we signed up for as Celtic fans .it shouldn't just be accepted and move on

Accepting it without question is why they will continue to do it!

The ... “ ahh well... we’re celtic fans...
we will continue to fund their mismanagement whatever happens...” attitude is exactly what the board are relying on.

    Good post.

Always been quite supportive of a Lawwell over the course of his time here. Not to say I haven’t been critical of mistakes, it on balance there’s definitely times where I’m glad to have him here.

Something has definitely slipped though. I understand not spending £3m + £20k per week on Turnbull, I understand not being able to splash out on big name signings, I understand having to sell star players, I understand a policy that focuses on signing ‘potential’ and maximising their value. The issue is that all of that falls flat of the behind the scenes stuff on the footballing side isn’t excellent - from coaching through to scouting.

Right now it feels as though we’re being ran in a part time basis. Like there’s no coherent thought into anything we do, never mind a structured, well thought out plan. We seem to be more reactive than proactive, and that ‘reaction’ is that of a geriatric with dyspraxia.

Nonsense. Lennon attracted a higher calibre of player than Rodgers; all you have to do is compare their records.

One of them was being scouted by Ajax when we signed him, is now the Dutch captain, just won the Champions League and is widely tipped to win the Ballon D'or.

Another was on the bench for the other team in the Champions League Final.

He attracted the 3rd top goalscorer in the English Championship to come up, who scored over 80 goals for us and made us a healthy profit.

Attracted another guy who has scored over 100 goals for us.

Another was a Swedish international who is now one of our most decorated players ever.

Also, Rodgers has to take his share of the blame for the lopsided squad, but we should’ve been preparing for his departure this summer at the latest.

I would have some sympathy if a load of our players had just been stolen from under our noses over the past 6 months or so, but realistically we’re looking at replacing a bunch of loans and players whose contracts have expired. It’s been said before in here, but there really is no reason for us not to have a shortlist of a few dozen players in each position that we can move on.

Why was absolutely nothing done in January?

Loan signings that we're not keeping who weren't good enough anyway (Weah aside).

Players like Toure, Dembele and Sinclair were all far bigger names than any of those you're talking about.

If you mean Lennon made more signings who went on to do very well for us, then I agree. But Rodgers absolutely attracted more high profile players - albeit only in his first season really.

His point was high calibre not high profile.

Toure was more or less done when he arrived, his experience helped in the UCL qualifiers but he was shown to be done in the Gladbach home game and Motherwell away game when we were 2-0 down at half-time.

Dembele is on record as saying David Moss had already done a fair bit of the groundwork over a period of 6 months before Rodgers arrived at the club, speaking with the player and agent several times.

Sinclair I can accept but Rodgers had a personal relationship with the guy through Chelsea youths and Swansea, managers will always guys that they turn to in their past.

Personally i think the light show is just a complete and utter waste of money, the real entertainment should be about the team on the park.
