I didn’t think it was being built specifically for poor weather training for 1st team.i thought it was from juniors up.

Surely an outdoor warm up area is just an area to warm up wherever you are going to play.

The announcement sad: "The new indoor facility will allow excellent training opportunities, particularly in poor weather for the Celtic First Team."
And I'd agree you should be able to warm up anywhere really, so why bother stating it will have an outside warm up area? I just find it odd.

Its being built in order to prevent "The Rangers" from inviting our european opponents to train at Ironside Park. Stopping them making continental contacts and expanding the brand....

Such is the delusion of der hun

It has worked so well for them over the last decade, just look at the glory era they're in. We MUST act.

    I understand mate.

But we need to be smarter than them. The last thing we wanna do is go bust trying to prevent them begging CL teams to come pish in their showers.

I mean how many times have we seen such desperation to get one over on the other side backfire. Its one thing building world class facilities (to stop them trying to piggy back the spotlight of a competition they've never been in) but as soon as I hear Celtic floating Casino Im out.

When it says poor conditions would that mean in the event Lennoxtown was unplayable due to snow, frost, storms etc?

Can't imagine it would be just normal rain cause we have to train in conditions we'll play surely?

Taking the appeal for the 29ft screen to the Scottish parliament!

How about this Peter rather than hotels, big screens and balance sheets you start trying to buy * players!!!!

    Just a thought!

How does he keep getting away with this *, first it was the celtic way, then the disco lights, just announced training facility upgrades and now he wants a NEW BIG SCREEN? The fans of any other club in europe would hound out their board for these kind of insane investments in infrastructure. Where will it all end, the stadium looking top notch while we continue to dominate the scottish game?

I'm really not sure how any of us could cope with that.

Might be easier to cope if they were somewhat competent in the transfer market.

Do we need to bring some players in and freshen up the squad? Absolutely.

That doesn't make a big telly that might not even get built something worth getting upset about, it's not like they're taking the building costs out of players wages. I honestly can't believe the negativity on here recently.

And I honestly can't believe that anyone would be surprised that there's negativity, given how pathetically * we've looked since the end of the season.

Hmm should really focusing in opening the coffers for a change and investing in the development of the squad it's been avoided for years and now the team is in dire straits

Because the tight * that make the decisions would rather avoid spending money on where it matters the most on the pitch. For years we've needed to fill certain positions and every window its the same BS. Now we have a ton of loanees back left with a scary amount of positions to fill because they were to cheap to fill them years earlier

Took them a month to march their indignation all the way to the scottish government over a * TV screen nobody asked for.

Couldnt find a CB or RB in two years.

If only they had the same endeavour and determination when comes to player recruitment.

Lawwell had one transfer meeting, came up with a list of duds and cared about so much some * with weird thumbs leaked it from the *.

Hes probably been to about 10 meetings concerning this tv screen.

We should just drape a big green and white tarp over it, name the * thing Rotato Di Televez and stick it in at RB.

In essence, yes... look, we don't have to like it, but from a business and infrastructure perspective what the board do is * phenomenal. In the crumbs-based SPL they're turning profits every single year, while building PLATINUM standard facilities and infrastructure, many of which are in excess of what should actually be required. On top of that they still manage to buy improvement in squad (usually!) without grinding the success to a halt (ala Arsenal). It's a perfectly valid growth strategy for a club - it's just not the system we fans would prefer
